I actually got an ADR for Le Cellier for our May trip - shocked! I've tried for the last three trips to get in there with no luck, so I was excited.

Now I'm wondering if we wouldn't like Tutto Italia better. Obviously that is two totally different types of food, but I wondered if those of you who have eaten at both have a decided preference. Many people have noted lately that Le Cellier is overrated and stays busy simply because we're all convinced we should go there. I honestly haven't heard all that much about Tutto Italia, though I love Italian food.

I appreciate any thoughts on the two. Thanks!!

I suppose it would come down to what you think you will be more in the mood for. Italian or not. I have not eaten at either but I know some who have. While they enjoyed both they said Tutto Italia is a much heavier meal then Le Cellier.

I personally much prefer Le Cellier. I think Tutto Italia is way overpriced and overrated. maybe it is just me. . .. . .

DH and I ate at both places in Sept. His favorite meal of the trip was the veal ravioli at Tutto. My favorite meal was the pan seared scallops at Le Cellier.

AAAAARRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!! How is this supposed to help me??!! I'm kidding of course!!!

Thanks for the input. I'm thinking I have done the right thing with Le Cellier, even though I love pasta and Italian food. My stepdad is definitely a carnivore and my DH is pretty picky, but I can't go wrong with steak. Of course, he may have to "rearrange" some things to get a steak/potato combo that he likes, but I'm sure he isn't the first to do that!

Honestly, I love them both.
I don't think LeCellier is overated...We have eaten there 3 times and we loved the cheddar cheese soup, the steaks were wonderful and the service was excellent.
We loved both our meals at Tutto. The lasagna is excellent. The service was great, but it tends to be a bit rushed.
If you are on the dining plan price obviously isn't a factor. If you are not on the dining plan, I would choose LeCellier. I think Tutto, although I enjoyed our meals, is waaaay overpriced.

I've had more problems at Le Cellier than at Tutto, but I've far less experience with Tutto as well. May trip will be our first time back to Le Cellier in a couple years to give it another shot. FWIW...

We went to both on this past trip. We prefer Le Cellier although we will admit that Tutto was very good as well. I do agree that the service at Tutto did seem a bit rushed but the food was good. Since we were on the DDP, the price was not an issue, but in looking at the menu prices vs the quality of the food at Tutto, I would say that if you are paying out of pocket I think Tutto is overpriced.

This is EXACTLY my opinion after dining at both places in August.

They both are great. Tutto is so fresh and yummy and also have a lighter feel to it then a heavy steak. But Le Cellier is a good hearty meal. It is a must do for DH every trip. Try the cream cheese mashed potatoes they are so good.

I think it depends on what you like. If you like steak Le Cellier is excellent. The steaks melt in your mouth and I love the pretzel bread. If you like Italian I have heard the other is great.

I have eaten in both and they are both great. Le Cellier is harder to get a reservation for, so if you have one, you might want to keep it. You will not be sorry. If you like steak, I recommend the coffee rubbed kansas city steak. It is delicious. Enjoy:goodvibes
