My ADRs were set, I swear, when lo and behold I heard a rumor about a better Coral Reef time and found LE CELLIER!!! On our Epcot day, at the perfect time. So I guess it's meant to be!

But I have to say, I was looking forward to my kids getting to eat in the aquarium, the catch of the day and the dessert. But I should keep the Le Cellier, right? Esp since it'll be 2 credits by the time our next trip rolls around?

I'm still a bit in shock. :)

I guess that is really up to you, which do you prefer? LC is great but if you are really wanting the other, don't let the "catch" on the ressie board tear you away from something you want.

Good point! I think I'll go with LC because of the upcoming switch to signature. And maybe it is fate! CR can wait until next time. :goodvibes

LC is only turning to a 2 credit meal for dinner, for lunch it is still going to be 1 credit. Not sure if you are on the dining plan or not but you could possibly do both with LC for lunch and CR for dinner and still spend as many credits as your 2 credit LC dinner.....food for thought. We are actually doing both on our next trip in May. We haven't done CR in a couple of years so we thought it would be a good time to go back (for dinner), but earlier in the day we are having lunch at LC, however we are on the DxDP. Have a great trip.

I ate at both last year and I enjoyed the food much better at Le Cellier. I had the filet - it was delicious.

At Coral Reef I had a steak and it wasn't as good as the one I had at LC.

If I were to choose, I would choose LC. The fish tank was fun, but I enjoyed LC more.

Another thing to keep in mind about Coral Reef is table location- unless you are right up next to the aquarium wall, it isn't really all that special. There are several rows of seating, and if you're in one of the further back rows, it really doesn't feel like you're eating near a coral reef :sad1: We learned the hard way, when we were far away as you could get! The food was good, but there really was no sense of being close to the aquarium....

Our 1st viit to CR we sat next to the aquarium - it was a great experience for our kids (and us too)- but the food (IMO) wsa not as good as le Cellier.

On our 2nd visit to the CR, we were seated farther away from the aquarium - but really still enjoyed the view.

I like the CR for the atmospehere - but LC for the food

I only ate at Coral Reef and don't think we'd be back. Neither Dh or I really are for our food and DD barely touched hers. My crab cake was borderline cold. YUCK. The fish tank was a neat experience as DD got to see Mickey swimming around in it but that's about it.

When we ate at coral reef, we LOVED it. It was by far one of the best meals of our trip. Lately I have been reading so many negative reviews and decided not to go there this trip but I may actually reconsider and try it again seeing we had a good experience. (one thing we hated was sitting next to the aquarium because people would send their kids up and they would go behind our chair, in front of our table ect to look, point, and take pic, while we were eating our meal! very annoying)

My DH loves LC. He is a steak man. I dont really like steak and I did not enjoy my meal there. when I went it was not terrible but not great either, but I go every time for him sometimes 2x in one trip. I dont think its worth 2 TS though and personally would rather eat at Jiko

We prefer Coral Reef with the kids.. and enjoy the food better but it's up to you. The dining experiences are completely different!
