I had originally been planning having dinner at Le Cellier, but their lunch menu looks really good too! Has anyone had it for both meals? Do you have a preference?

I like to do as many ADRs for lunch as possible. I like the big meal in the middle of the day....good bread and the prices are lower.
Love Le Cellier anytime though.
The burger is the BEST!!

I tried it for lunch the first time last October. I had planned to get a steak (the filet is my favorite!) but heard another guest raving about the prime rib sandwich, so I ordered that instead. It was fabulous! Sliced prime rib on a toasted roll - the meat was very lean (not fat or gristle). I had it with horseradish sauce. Served with french fries. It was about half the cost of the steak I had originally planned to order, and sooooo good.

We have eaten both meals there and from what the menus read I would pick lunch because the mushroom filet is now on the menu and it is cheaper than the dinner menu

Agreed. My family and I have made it a tradition the past 3 years to eat there for lunch on our last day. It's our going away meal. We have a burger or prime rib, smoothie for drink, and then dessert. DELICIOUS!!!!!

lunch lunch lunch!!

i ALWAYS eat my big meal at lunch---it's so nice and cool in their during the middle of the day too!;)

We did dinner and LOVED it! The whole ambience of the restaurant was fantastic, I found the staff wonderful also.

I had the cheddar cheese soup for starters (just to die for, I would just go there again for this alone!), the mushroom ravioli & then the 'moose' for dessert...amazing!

The best evening of eating we had all two weeks!

Highly recommend it! :thumbsup2

Oh my gosh, you guys are giving me something to think about!

We did dinner there last year - totally planning on dinner again when we go next year. But this "lunch" thing has me thinking...

Does anyone make TWO trips (one lunch, one dinner) to Le Cellier?:worship:

I have one lunch and one dinner scheduled there for our upcoming trip, about 5 days apart. I haven't dined there before, so I'm making up for it. :)

we've done both - prefer lunch

easier to get an ADR (although we still call at 180 and ask for first available lunch seating)

DH still gets the steak at lunch - me, i prefer the prime rib sandwich

and always the cheese soup!

How stuffed are you after having the cheese soup and prime rib sandwich? I'm waffling between the two but if the sandwich isn't monstrous maybe I can have both. Such a dilema! :faint:

We have lunch reservations as well but had dinner there last year. Dinner was delicious (I had the salmon) so we're hoping lunch is as good.

Their steak is verh good, we have only ate dinner. I would take whatever opening I could get.

don't forget about the smoothie for a drink and the maple creme brulee for dessert!!!

ok...so after ya'll have had the cheese soup, smoothie, filet, and creme brulee for dessert for LUNCH.....where do you go after you leave the restaurant to sleep it all off?

Yikes, sounds delish but that much food and I might have to nap before I can pay the bill! Or, they'll have to roll me out of the cellar!

Ok...and all kidding aside...that's just too much food, but I can't decide what NOT to get......so with this being a hoity toity restaurant would they look down their long noses at me and sniff if the kids and I shared a steak and dessert? Each get our own cheese soup and smoothie, but a few bites of the steak and dessert would do me! But I gotta try that steak, everyone raves about it.

It is a lot of food that we were play-discussing. LeCellier is one of, if not THE most, non-snob table service restaurants on property. I'm sure that what you'd like to eat and how you'd like to eat it is fine by them. The pleasure is in the atmosphere, food, and service. Go, enjoy. Rest assured, I'm leaning towards a cup of the soup and perhaps a salad. Or maybe the prime rib sandwich and unsweetened iced tea. Or may be just soup and a dessert......

I'm wondering too about splitting meals. Is this an ok thing to do? I figured it would be a good way to save money and my waistline!:lmao:
