We were there last week & saw some new items. They now have chicken crepes with a blue cheese bechamel sauce. They also changed the old steak salad to a grilled sirloin & baby spinach salad w/ a potato & fennel tart.

Thanks for the info.

Do you recall if they had a steak entree for lunch? ANd also will DS be able to just order a cheeseburger? Thanks

I was there a few weeks ago and noticed that also, they still had the filet mignon for lunch and maybe the new york strip but not sure on the latter.
They still have their burgers but they changed to a regular bun and honestly, the english muffin style bun they served it on before was much better.

Thanks - DH has never been so he's going to want to try a steak for out 2:55pm ADR.

A regular bun is going to make my picky DS happy as a lark :cool1: He'd suredly have picked off an english muffin :goodvibes

Beware of the ketchup on the burger, they are making it themselves and last time it had onions in it I think. It's like a ketchup sauce.
I just say no ketchup, and ask for it to be brought on the side. If you read the description on the menu, you will see what I mean, lol.

This is gone. The burger has changed. It use to be a steak burger and had a yummy taste (I also got the ketchup on the side). We ate there a couple of weeks ago and it's no longer a steak burger. The taste is different. It's a regular burger on a bun now and you get your choice of cheese and mushrooms on it. No way as good as the old one. Yes the sour dough roll is gone too that it use to come on. Our entire group ordered it and while it was a burger, it didn't compare to the previous one.

My DH & I had dinner at LeCellier the week of 5/9 and were very disappointed. We have eaten there many times in the past (for both lunch and dinner) and always looked forward to it. I had the NY strip steak and I forget what my DH had but we both were not impressed. I have ADRs there for our trip in Oct. and I keep going back and forth about canceling. I guess any restaurant can have an "off" night so I don't know what I'll finally decide.

I'm looking forward to eating lunch there in August. My ds may want the hamburger also. Thanks for the info..

I ate there on May 6th and the menu had already changed, they still put the good cheese on the burger. I took it off the bun and ate it with my knife and fork and thought it was as good as before, just the sourdough bun is gone. I didn't get the mushrooms on it, just cheese and meat.
I love the cheese they use on it but wish the bun was the sourdough one. Now it's almost like the icky dry ones they use at the counter service restaurants, wow those buns are horrid.lol....

Yes! I had the mushroom filet & DH had the NY strip & both were delicious! And, as others have stated, cheese burgers are still on the menu. Their description states: Le Cellier House Burger with Roasted Mushrooms, Pancetta, Maple Barbeque, Black Diamond Cheddar, and Crisy Onions.

They also have a "Salmon Croque Madame Sandwich with Proscuitto, Poached Egg, and Blue Cheese Mornay Sauce." ((On a side note, I wonder why they feel the need to capitalize everything, lol.))

This was my 3rd time eating at Le Cellier & I've honestly never had a bad meal there! My food-snob DH even said that Le Cellier is one of his top 3 restaurants in WDW. We were both so full from lunch that we only had PB&J milkshakes with some 'adult' modifications (Chambord & Godiva liqueur) for dinner.

I'm so glad to read all these posts about lunch. We're going to have 2 TS credits left & pay OOP for DS's cheeseburger. This will be on our last day :upsidedow so it will be a nice ending.....if it has to ends :sad1:

The last day is always the saddest! It's also when I unofficially start planning our next trip, lol. I always need something to look forward to!

The chicken crepe sounds like something I would like as I don't eat red meat. Has anyone had this dish yet? Anyone remember what the menu description was?

Thanks!

"Chicken Crepe with Roasted Portobello Mushrooms, Peppers, and a Blue Cheese Bechamel Sauce" It's also served with either potato salad or french fries.

Wow, that sounds delicious! Thanks so much for the reply. I always go to LeCellier for dinner only since they have the baked chicken at dinner only. This makes me want to go for lunch now instead.

No prob! The forgot to mention that the chicken crepe was priced at $12.99. (I love blue cheese, but I just couldn't resist the mushroom filet.)

I just wanted to say, we ate there for dinner on May 18th.
It was the best meal I've ever had at Disney!
It was the best meal I've had anywhere for quite awhile.
My DH & I both agree they were way better than Ruth's Cris (where he proposed & we eat at lest once/yr.) & cheaper than RC too.
So worth the wait & $. (San An. on the other hand - what a rip off!)

I actually was able to score a lunch ADR yesterday online. It's been YEARS since I've eaten there and look forward to sharing the experience with a few of the adult kids(see picture at left complete with silly Dinosaur hats). :thumbsup2

When I ate at Le'Cellier for the first and only time back in Jan. 09 I found it to be

The most over-rated restaurant I've ever been to in Disney!
For me it was very Outback/Longhorn like with the exception of a fillet being smoothered in Musroom soup (also very average). I'm reluctantly giving it one more chance with an ADR for our next visit, but if I wait 40 minutes past my ADR, find an arrogant staff, and stick me next to the restrooms again I'll have no hesitation walking out. :)

PPs,
Have you had their new lunch menu? Nobody's saying that you have to love it or like it, but comments about their lunch menu would be really appreciated on this thread. I respect everyone's opinion, but I don't want this to turn into another general negative hate-fest or love-fest (even though I have a higher much tolerance for friendly & positive people). Instead, to maintain civility, it would be awesome if we could keep to an honest discussion of their new lunch menu. Thanks!
