Le Bat en Rouge - new dress shop in DL Park

I've been trying to get the Orange bird dress since I first saw it announced last Christmas, with no luck.
I live in the UK so have had friends looking for me, until my vacation, now! Arrived at Disneyland Monday & kept looking but saw no dresses! On my last day Thursday we noticed a new shop in New Orleans Sq, called Le Bat en Rouge which is a new dress shop with all the dresses!
Managed to get Orange Bird dress(in a size smaller) + earrings, necklace & bracelet, & DH wanted to get the underskirt too! so full outfit for me! very happy - loved Disneyland - now at WDW.)

Interesting! I know Bat en Rouge has been there for a while, selling nice t-shirts and such, but I guess that's where they moved the stock from The Disney Vault! Although it sucks for people to have to enter the park to get access to it!

Some of the Vault 28 stock was supposed to move to the Chapel Hats location for a while. Don't know if this circumvents that plan or is in addition to it. Guess we'll find out soon enough. What does Le Bat en Rouge do for a dressing room? Make you buy the dress, then go to the restroom in NOS? That restroom always has such a long line!

Store has been there a while I think but it did not have those dresses a couple weeks ago!
ETA: good thing too! If I'd seen the Tiki dress in person in the parks I would have caved & blown my merchandise budget on my last trip!

I love that tiki dress! I have a couple of friends who got it and was jealous. One of my friends who wanted one but was unable to find her size was told by Disney merchandising that they wouldn't be making them any longer. You never know about those claims, but that's what she was told.

But when we went to Tiki Day last weekend, we saw that dress on LOTS of people so she decided she was ok with missing out

Chapel Hats closed at the end of September. BAB and RideMakerz got a reprieve until the end of the year. Word has it that the Chapel Hats space will become a temporary dress boutique for the cute Disney dresses. At least that space already has a dressing room area in the back.

I was so happy to see that all the dresses, purses, jewelry, etc ended up somewhere. I thought they were gone forever once Vault closed.
We were just there the other day and they had full stock, all the dresses in all sizes. Plenty of everything. Really adorable matching purses and accessories too.

I am so pleased they have put the dresses somewhere, I was worried they would disappear with the store closing. I wanted to get my DD one 3 weeks ago but couldn’t decide, she can buy her own when we are there in December. Lol.

I was afraid of that! With dresses that fitted (hello, darts?!), putting one over my clothes isn't going to give me anything close to an accurate idea of how it will fit. LOL. Unless I want to go for the frumpy look... Well, here's hoping that the Chapel Hats location really does pan out and really does have a dressing room.

ETA: The DTD location (previously Chapel Hats) is supposed to open this week!
