LAX uber question...

Hello-

Our flight lands in LAX 4/23/22 at 12:55am. We will need to get pickup some checked luggage, so I figure I will be calling for an uber at 1:30am to go to Castle Inn & Suites. Does anyone know how easy it is to get an uber at that time of night from LAX? Uber reliability has changed so much in our area since covid. We are unable to rely on it like we did before covid, but I'm hoping LA doesn't have those problems?

Ubers and Lyfts were easy to come by when we were there a few weeks ago. We had an early flight to LAX (left the hotel around 4 am) and had no trouble getting a ride.

At LAX it is a bit different. There is a central taxi/ridesahre area that once you are there you make the request and Uber gives you a pin code. You hop in the next available Uber car in line and give the driver the code, no calling and wait for a request then driver to arrive.


As to the 1:30am availability do not have any insight on that but if there are no other Ubers there Lyft and Taxis are all in the same spot so there will most likely be options.

I have arrived late to LAX many times (between 11 PM - 12 AM) and never had a problem getting a car. You will want to read up on the UBER website about rideshare at LAX. You will come out and have to get on a shuttle bus to the rideshare staging area. On the bus, you can request the UBER. And then when you get to the staging area, get in an UBER. For what its worth, I prefer booking Comfort, so I am assigned a car instead of the pin and getting into the car and giving a pin part. I like knowing for sure who will be picking me up.
