I'm thinking at 11pm on a Tuesday night, it will only take around an hour to get to our hotel near the Anaheim Convention Center. If it takes longer, no big deal.

But on a Saturday evening - 7:30pm - I think it's going to take an hour and a half to get from Anaheim back to LAX.

The Teacher/Advisor who has never been to the LAX airport is saying it will only take an hour according to google.

I'm worried our group will end up missing our flight if we only plan for an hour travel time.
Since we are chaperoning other peoples teens and we are all using the same bus to get from the airport to the High School once we arrive home, it would be a big deal if we missed our flight.

I'm thinking we really need that extra time and should leave at 7pm instead.

Oh and our flight out is at 10:40pm and we'll have a rental van to turn in, baggage to check, security to go through and some sort of fast food dinner to buy.
It's a horrible overnight flight which I'm dreading - next year I'll be sure to find out what he has planned for flights if I'm chaperoning for a 3rd time. :scared1:

So what do you guys think? Do we need an hour and a half to get to LAX early Saturday evening?

And maybe I should be driving to the airport and leaving my car in the Park N'Fly instead of taking the bus. That way if something goes wrong and we miss our flight I will at least have transport at the airport for myself, my teenage son and 2 other teenagers. I normally drive to the airport and don't mind paying to have my car there. Hmmm. Something else to think about.

If you phone the magic express and tell them when your flight leaves they'll tell you what time to catch the shuttle. They have standard times which will get you there with plenty of time. I know it sucks to be early to the airport but its the responsible thing to do when travelling with a group.

Sorry, call them find out what time they suggest and leave ten minutes early to account for rental van turn in.
