I am having way too much fun sitting in front of a computer! :surfweb:

Can't wait to see your Planstravaganza!

And after, you can share tips with Val, aka IndyBride, on how to survive your mother whilst planning your wedding!! :lmao:

You know, in some ways, it's a good thing that the DIS has a language filter. Perhaps it will force me to finally construct a sentence this week that doesn't include multiple f-bombs and s-bombs...

Let me explain.

My week starts with a judge telling me (in open court in front of partners from my firm, natch) that, although he agrees with my position with respect to the law, he can't grant the motion I was presenting because the other side might eventually wake up and realize that their action is flawed and *gasp* fix it. When I tried to hand him caselaw that proved my point and the fact that it doesn't matter what they might do to fix their messed up case, he looked at me and said: "You're not listening to me, but perhaps you'll listen to this. Motion dismissed." :headache:

Partners look at me with pity as I slink out of the courtroom. One of them who is friendly with me said not to worry that the judge was clearly being unreasonable but that everyone loves to watch a car wreck as they drive past.

Gee. Thanks.

Things went downhill from there, trust me. Came back to a desk that, well, for lack of a better word, looked like the epicenter when the you-know-what hit the fan.

And now, of course, I am sick. Throat is closing up, eyes are watery and I feel like dog logs (I'll let you figure out what I mean by that).

On top of it all, in less than a month, we have our BIG concert series for the semi-pro choir/theatre troupe I'm in (for which I have a pretty big solo). We have multiple rehearsals scheduled (to the tune of about 20 hours per week) between now and then. But, to give you an idea of what I sound like right now, when one of my friends called me this afternoon, she said: "Whoa. What's with the Dude voice?"

Needless to say, singing is not an option for the foreseeable future...

*Sigh* All this to say that I'm sorry for the lack of updates, but I'm going to fix that right now by starting my TR for my planning trip... As soon as I respond to everyone who has posted in the thread!! :flower3:

First of all - I want to thank everyone for posting their replies/subscribing to my PJ!! It's really cool to be able to come back to my thread and see that people posted replies!! :goodvibes

Aww, you two make an ADORABLE couple!!

adorable pictures...Ya'll are just TOO cute!

Thanks! We've been known to induce diabetic shock, though... Send help/insulin!!

Yes.... almost as cute as the widdle baby DUCKLING! :lmao:

Forget that - the duckling is way cuter! You should have seen the way he was waddling after his momma! I could have watched them interact for hours... Which is how you can pick out the AP holder - I'm staring at the duckies, everyone else is staring at the big honkin' castle in front of them!

It's all a matter of priorities, really!!

Love the pictures of you and your fiance. The baby duck picture is precious.:thumbsup2

Thanks, I like those pics too! I look marginally less chubby! (Viva le messenger bag hiding the tummy!! :woohoo:

great story! and did you notice that the shadow mama duck makes for baby duck is in the shape of a heart? so it fits the story! can't wait to read more!

OMG - I totally didn't notice that!! Hee!! Great eye!!

Oh, wayyyy cute! You're right -- you got a hot plant guy! Oh, and I knew I liked you -- -- DDalmost20's favorite is Eeyore too! :eeyore:

DDalmost20 has got excellent taste in plush donkeys!

Love your PJ so far! I love Montreal. Unfortunately, the last time I was there was probably about the time that you were moving home (97 or 98).

:( Come back! The city misses you!!

:goodvibes

Love your report, love the pictures and love the dress. I was originally looking at that dress or the other AA dress with color (the one where it looks like two ribbons going down the back). My color was also claret. I ended up with an all white dress but my girls will be in AA in claret. Like your friend and you, I picked out the color and let them choose the dress. Two will be in short and one will be in long. I think this is a great idea also.

Looking forward to reading more.

Linda

The two ribbons going down the back looks really cool, but I'm afraid that it might look weird on short lil me... I lied for my license and said I was 5'5, but I'm more like 5'4" in kitten heels. I love the AA dresses, though - no charge for plus sizes! Huzzah!!

Thanks for sharing such a great story, and such cute pictures! :goodvibes

I love Montreal, I go there a couple of times a year! :thumbsup2

I'm looking forward to hear more about your plans!!

It's a great city. I honestly couldn't live anywhere else... But, I suppose that if I ever had to make the sacrifice and leave, I suppose I could TRY to live in Florida near WDW. I mean, it would be a sacrifice, but I'd be willing to engage in the experiment... :rolleyes1

(Besides, NO MORE SNOW!! And after this year, i'm thinking that would be a good thing!!)

OMG! YES! :worship: I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks this is the best combo ever! :rotfl2:

Your PJ is awesome! Totally subbing here!

There will also be bacon... mmmm... bacon... *Drool*

You'll have to excuse me - Quebeckers have an almost unholy obsession with pork products at breakfast. Do a google search to find out what "cretons" are... Between that and poutine, it's amazing we don't all weigh 300 lbs!!:scared1:

You guys look like so much fun to be around!!! I love plantguy's hat ;)

Hee!! I would have liked it more had they still been playing right now. Stupid Flyers... :sad1:

I just found your PJ and am subscribing right away. I am mostly a lurker since my VR isn't for four more years by I just had to come out of hiding on this one. Too good to pass up. And you and DF make a very cute couple.

I'm a compulsive lurker, so I totally understand!! Thanks for de-lurking to say hello!! :)

The angry mob is getting restless for more... :rotfl:

I am having way too much fun sitting in front of a computer!

Can't wait to see your Planstravaganza!

And after, you can share tips with Val, aka IndyBride, on how to survive your mother whilst planning your wedding!!

You know, it wasn't all that bad. She's a crazy enthusiastic person - far more than me - but it was fun being back at WDW with someone else who is so giddy. I love Plant Guy right down to my desperately-in-need-of-a-manicure toes, but the guy gives new meaning to the word "stoic". It was fun to be with someone who is the polar opposite of that!!

Patience with your mom is sometimes the hard part planning a wedding.

I've only had minor issues so far (mostly dealing with potential guest list issues, but that's another post for another day), but, yeah... Having the day live up to what she pictures in her head may be a challenge. That being said, she was bang on right about the choice for our reception, so I'm learning to listen to her a bit more. Had this been about 10 years ago, I would have refused to go with her choice of location, on principle!! :rolleyes1

Ah! I love it! :rotfl: You are highly entertaining. Subscribing! Can't wait for more!

Hee! I'm seriously so happy any time someone says I'm entertaining!! It makes me think that perhaps my continuous running monologue in my brain should come out and play every once in a while...

... on second thought, it could get me fired, so I'll just let it run free in here!! :rolleyes1

Alrightie everyone - here is where I make a liar outta me for the first time in this PJ...

... Yes, I see you there in the back. I know that you want to make a crack about lawyers and liars and how all we do is lie, blah blah blah. I've heard them all before. They aren't that funny. *angry glare*

This one is: Why did the shark not eat the lawyer? Professional courtesy!!! :rotfl:

What I'm trying to say is - the first installment of Planstravaganza will have to wait. My throat is really hurting, and my eyes are watering something fierce. So I'm going to go to bed and hopefully wake up tomorrow and it will already be next week and this nightmare will be over.

Scratch that, if it's already next week, I am in deep doo-doo because I have way too many reports due Monday. Argh. :headache:

If I play hooky tomorrow, you'll get your update, I swear!! *deliberately turns her back to the smart alec in the back*

I hope you feel better real soon. Get plenty of rest. We will all be here patiently waiting for your next installment.

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: I'm a totally loving your PJ so far!!

Mickey Waffles and Mimosa's! My kind of wedding! ANd I love your dress! It is very beautiful!

Sorry you had a crappy day, hopefully you'll be feeling better soon and can post more pics!

BTW - WHERE did you get that picture of the castle all sugary like that??? It's BEAUTIFUL! I want one just like it! :rotfl:

Jennifer

Hope you feel better! Have you tried gurgling with salt water? It's completely icky, but helps.

I am loving your PJ. Keep it coming. You are cracking me up! :rotfl2:

Thank you, lawyergirl, for the kind words.

I look forward to following your adventures, trials (ooh, bad pun) and tribulations in this thread leading up to the big day. Whatever happens, it sounds like it will be quite entertaining.

Looks like I'm going to be firing up our annual passes soon.

I love your planning journal! You are a highly entertaining storyteller, and I can't wait to read more! I am slowly working on posting more often and lurking a little less as our date of October 2009 begins to feel less like the next century, and I look forward to getting to know you and reading about all the things you are planning!

Hope you feel better soon!
