Day 3 – Chill out day!
Wednesday 12th Sept

We got up again at around 8:30am and decided to sit and have breakfast out on the balcony. DH headed down to Picabu’s and got us a couple of bagels with cream cheese and some orange juice along with an English paper! That’s one thing I love about the Dolphin, if you get a decent room its lovely to sit out on the balcony in the mornings with breakfast and watch the friendship boats go past! We had planned a chill out day to day (big fan of chill out days!) so we headed over to Blizzard Beach for opening at 10am. We sorted out the towels, lockers etc and whilst my grandparents and mum headed off to get a coffee, me, DH and my dad headed over to summit plummet before the queue gets to long! Although I do it everytime I go for some reason I get really nervous before the first time going back on it each trip, once ive been down it again im fine! We did that twice before the queue got to big, twice was enough for me! Those stairs up are killer on the legs and scolding hot!

We went back to the sunbeds and rallied up the rest of the clan to go for a float in the lazy river! We got there and there was a sever shortage of the rubber rings! So we managed to find 2 for my grandparents and then decided to swim round to the next stop thinking we would find some along the way, we got to the next stop….still no rings….and the next stop….no rings…and the next stop…and the next one finally after what seemed like 10 stops we saw to the side of the river a huge pile of them so we got out and grabbed a load and checked them in. After that we went off to do a few more slides – humunger cowabunga, storm slides and downhill racers. :woohoo:

We got back to the sunbeds at around 1pm, and lie down for a while to dry off! Once we were dry, which didn’t take long as it was another hot day, we headed off for lunch at lottawater lodge! We found a nice table outside and ate some lunch, I had some chicken tenders – I love these out in WDW they always seem so much nicer over there. Lunch finished with we went to have a quick look around the shops before heading back to the hotel around 3pm.

We went back to the room and chilled out on the balcony for a while, I decided to sort some of the case out as we were moving the following day to a room with a better view! We chose to go over to Epcot this evening. We arranged with the others to meet us at the Sunshine Seasons in the land so we could have some dinner. Before we headed over to get our food we grabbed a fast pass for Soarin, as the return time was in 1 hour! :yay:

I quite like eating in the Land, it has quite a variety of food and it’s a nice change from the normal burgers and hot dogs. I had a Tuna Asian salad which was delicious!! And DH had a soup which he said was lovely too. All filled up on food we headed over to do the living with the land boat ride, and had a look at those Mickey head shaped pumpkins. By the time we got off the ride it was about time to go on soarin! We walked straight on and had a great seat, middle section right in the back row!:goodvibes

After Soarin we went outside and went on Nemo – cheesy but cute! We then went to do Mission Space, my grandparents waited outside as they wont go on this one (I tried to talk them into the less intense version but no luck) again there was virtually no queue so we walked straight through. Id forgotten how intense that ride was! But i still really enjoyed it! Next we headed over to test track where there was a 30 minute queue! So we decided to do the single rider line, we planned it really well as the pre show part had already started so the lady just let us through, we only queued for about 5 mins. A family of 4 had gone into one queue 2 in the front and 2 at the back, so me and DH were the 2 single riders that made up the 6. Now this poor family just couldn’t grasp the fact that it was 3 per row and told me and DH to go in the back so they could all sit together! The cast member kept explaining, only 3 per row but they just didn’t listen – they were American so they did understand, they just were not listening! So anyway the car comes, me and DH got in the back and the other 4 then stood arguing as to who would be sat in the back row. They couldn’t decide and the gates closed before they even got in the car. So me and DH are sat on our own in this car and this family them promptly move around and decide to put 2 in the front and 2 in the back…..just like they were before! :confused3 At this point I was just trying not to laugh!! :lmao: :lmao:

We got off the car, and went to meet my parents who had been in front of us, took a look at the hideous photo! It was quite funny my hair was just all over the place! By this time it was about 8:20 so we decided to head over to France and grab a glass of red wine and sit and watch the fireworks over by Italy.

Fortunately there were 2 benches free so this 6 of us managed to sit down for a while! Italy is my second favourite location to watch illuminations! My first in the Lower UK patio that sticks out on to the lake although I am biased as I had my wedding dessert party there:love: ! Italy is good because you get a really clear view of the globe and can actually see the pictures, which makes you appreciate it more I think.

After a while more people started to join us so we stood up and walked a bit further over so we were standing right by the railing so we had a better view and someone else could sit on the seats. It was quite windy tonight and fortunately it was not blowing in our direction so when the fireworks started the smoke was being blown away. :goodvibes

After the fireworks were finished we strolled back around the world showcase and decided to walk back to the Dolphin. We strolled the beach club and noticed that they were now showing movies on the beach! They had a huge screen and lots of sun beds arranged in front of it, tonight they were showing The Incredibles.

We were back to the hotel around 9:45am, we made plans to meet in the morning before heading off to bed.

A great day with a brilliant evening.
