Day Seven – Chill Out day and the first Bahama Mama!

We decided we would take it easy today and have a resting day. We got up around 9am and had a leisurely breakfast down in Picabus. We headed back up to the room to pick up ipods and books etc, before heading back down to the pool. We had said to the others we would meet around the pool at some point in the morning, leaving everyone to do what they wanted. We saw no one else was around the pool yet so we grabbed a nice cunny spot with 6 beds and a couple of umbrellas and put some towels down. No sooner had I settled down with my book, and my parents came down and joined us. About 15 minutes later my grandparents came down and told us they were going to go to Downtown Disney and do some shopping. Me, DH and my Parents were eating at Ohanas this evening but my grandparents don’t like the food there so they said they were going to do their own thing and we would see them tomorrow.

Me, DH and my parents spent the rest of the morning lounging on the sunbeds and messing around in the pool before getting hungry. We packed up all of our things and left the towels on 4 sunbeds and decided to pop over and have lunch at the boardwalk bakery. I had a roast beef sandwich which was crammed full of beef! We finished it off with a slice of cheesecake! After eating we went back to the pool for an hour or so before heading back up to the room to have a shower and get ready for the evening.

We had a reservation at Ohanas for 5:45pm so we met in the lobby at 4:45pm, we got a bus over to Magic Kingdom and then got the monorail over to the Polynesian. Hotel. We were a bit early so we had a look through the shops before checking in. We were seated at a great table right in between the window and the fire pit! We started the evening off with a round of cocktails, Backscratchers for the men, a Captains Mai Tai for my mum and a Bahama Mama for me!

I know a lot of people have had bad experiences at Ohanas but ive only ever had good ones. We were seated on time, the waiter was excellent, made sure we had plenty of food and didn’t rush us through every course! The entertainments more aimed at kids but the atmosphere is fun and lively! I guess it is expensive but we had a great time and the 20% Disney Dining Experience discount was helpful!!

After Dinner we got on the monorail over to Magic Kingdom and did all of the rides in Tomorrowland, the Tomorrowland Transit Authority, Buzz Lightyear, Stitches great escape and Space Mountain. We then headed over to do the new Monsters Inc Laugh Floor comedy club! I hadn’t read much about this so I wasn’t sure how it worked, I didn’t realise they picked on members of the audience! It was really good and so funny! The person next to me got picked on so that was close!!!

We didn’t realise that Wishes was on so when we came out of Monsters Inc it was almost finished! Which was really annoying, we should know better by now I guess!
We decided to take advantage of the fact everyone else was watching and dashed over to the park exit and into the queue for the bus. We got back to the hotel at about 9:30 and sat on our balcony enjoying a few drinks and discussing our up coming 3 night cruise!

The cocktails sound so yummy. Just so love cocktails
