Day 5 – Typhoon Lagoon and MNSSHP!

We woke up quite early this morning and DH went downstairs to Picabu to pick up 2 bagels with cream cheese and some Orange Juice. We sat and had our breakfast out on the balcony. After breakfast we got dressed and packed up some things for Typhoon Lagoon and headed down to lobby. We had 15 minutes until we were meeting the others and so we went to have a look in the Shop. Surprisingly I walked out empty handed this time.

We sat down in the lobby and waited for the others to arrive. Gary popped over to the front desk to cash up a travellers cheque and by the time he got back the others were there and we were ready to go. We walked out to the bus stop and just saw our bus leaving…typical!! We sat down and waited and another one turned up within 15 minutes or so.

We arrived at Typhoon Lagoon at around 10am and people were just starting to go into the park. We picked up some towels and rented a small locker before heading off to find a decent place to sit. We ended up in the same place we always go to – right by Crush n Gusher there’s a nice beach area and its near the changing rooms/toilets and a drinks place. We put down our things and went straight over to do Crush N Gusher – its only ever me, DH and my Dad that do that and its seems like there’s always a queue for the 2 person rafts but never one for the 3 person ones so we grabbed one and headed up the stairs. As you have to sit with the largest person at the back and smallest person in the front I’m always in the middle which I’m glad about! Gary always sits at the front and every time we get to the bottom he falls out! I really enjoy this ride but you do have to make sure your not falling through the hole in the middle when you go up one of the slopes! Ouch!

After we had gone off and done a few rides on Crush n Gusher we headed back to the sunbeds to sit in the sun for a while. After about 20 minutes of so we decided to go into the Lazy river and float around there for a while, fortunately there were plenty of rings this time! I love floating around the river. I think its so relaxing! But somehow I always seem to end up going under the waterfalls etc and its always freezing cold water too!

After we had done the river my Grandparents decided to head off, they don’t enjoy the water parks as much as we do. The rest of us decided to go and do some of the other rides for a bit. After we had done all those we returned to the sunbeds and got changed, we chose to go and have lunch at Downtown Disney instead of in Typhoon Lagoon. We got on the first bus that came and got off at the Market Place, after much discussion we decided to eat at Wolfgang Puck express. DH had a Chicken Pizza which looked lovely, and I think I had some type of Tuna Sandwich.

After lunch we had a look in a few of the shops – I purchased a Roxy T Shirt from silver sands. We headed back to the hotel at around 3pm for a chill out and relax as we were going to Mickeys Not so Scary Halloween party that evening!

We decided to get going quite early so we met in the lobby at 5:45pm. Fortunately a bus turned up straight away and were at the Magic Kingdom just after 6pm. We chose to go and have dinner straight away – we went to Pecos Bill and had a burger – I love the fixings bar here! With the peppers, mushrooms and salad yum! So after eating dinner we headed over to do the rides in Fantasyland first. We went on it’s a small world, and then went over to Peter Pan, as we were queuing up for this we noticed a bit of thunder and a couple of flashes of lightening. Didn’t think too much of it, as we came out of Peter Pan then rain had started coming down so we dashed over to Snow White and went on that – thinking the rain only usually lasts 30 minutes or so. We came out of Snow White and the heavens had opened! The rain was so heavy and everyone was crowded under the shelter! We decided to walk to the Winnie the Pooh ride as you can get there mostly under cover, surprisingly there wasn’t much of a queue and we got straight on. When we came out the rain hadn’t let up and was still as heavy as before! There were huge puddles everywhere and the sale on Ponchos had probably gone through the roof! I think the rain eventually died off after about an hour or so?

We then went and sat around Casey’s on Main Street – huddled under the umbrella and waited for the fireworks to start – I think it went off half and hour after it was meant to start. It was good though, the rain had cleared so we could stand and watch it.

At this point we headed over to do Splash Mountain (we were already wet so why not?!) and Big Thunder Mountain. We picked up some more sweets along the way and the headed back through Adventureland – we did Pirates of the Carribbean once more before calling it a night and heading back towards the bus.

We eventually got back to the hotel room just after 11pm. Unfortunately the rain pretty much ruined the evening but it was still fun. As We have done it several times now I don’t think I will do it again for a while though.

I cant find days 1 to 4 :confused3 :confused3

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Shame about the rain. sounds like a great day at typhoon lagoon
