Day 13 Castaway Cay!
After last nights over indulgence on the Bahama Mamas we had a bit of a sleep in this morning .well that was the plan anyway before we were woken up by the noise outside in the corridor meaning we had docked in castaway cay! So we got up and met the others for breakfast in the beach blanket buffet at 9am. Again we got a lovely table outside over looking castaway cay, it was another gorgeous day and I couldnt wait to go for a swim in the sea, when we came in December the sea was a little chilly so we didnt go in for long. We headed back to the room, picked up all our supplies on suntan lotion, sunglasses and other bits and pieces and headed off the ship. We had some photos taken on the walk down to the tram stop. We had just missed the tram so we decided to walk down to the family beach. Its about a 10 minutes leisurely walk, but we got some great pictures of the ship and of the Flying Dutchman etc. We eventually made it down to the family beach and grabbed come sunbeds that had umbrellas. We rented 3 of the rubber rings and headed into the sea it was a bit cold when you first got in but after that it was nice although it was a bit salty! We swam right out to the end of the rope and layed in the rings watching the glass bottomed boat tour go off, and watching some people doing the water sports before slowly swimming back towards the beach.
We spent a few hours lazing around the beach and swimming in the sea before heading up to the bar and cooling off with some Konk Coolers. We then watched Lilo and Stitch in the Gazebo. After that we had a look in the shops but didnt buy anything. My grandparents decided to head back to the boat as it was a bit too hot for them. Me, DH and my parents got on the tram and headed down to the adults only area for a bit. We had lunch at the BBQ down there which was better as they cooked everything to order. The food was delicious as always. We sat and had a drink on the beach for a while before heading back to the boat. We sat around the pool for a while well It was so hot we sat IN the pool for a while! We went back up to the room get showered and changed for dinner. I packed a load of stuff back in the suitcase as we had to leave them outside the room tonight.
We met the rest of the family outside Tritons, Another excellent meal, I dont think I could fault any of the food on the boat for whole trip! It was all delicious! After dinner we decided to go and watch the show Disney Dreams. I found the seats in the theatre a bit weird! But the show was really good! Its only about an hour so not too long. We headed back to the room to pack up the remaining things before heading back to the bar for one final bahama mama. We took them back to the room and sat on the balcony watching the lights go past. We eventually went to bed around midnight, ready to get up bright and early for immigration tomorrow!
Again i do have more pictures and will post them as soon as my PC is fixed
