Laurs & Andy do the Universe and the World Day Six
Me Laurs 27

Day six 26 September 2006 a gorgeous woman where?
We finally remembered to book a wake up call, so I choose this mornings Alice Cooper, yes, rock n roll! It was very cool waking up to his voice over No More Mr Nice Guy. Taking Alices advice, we got out of bed.
When the paper Orlando Sentinal - arrived (another perk of the Loews scheme) there was an article about the rocket launch. It is a cool souvenir to have.
We went to the concierge lounge for breakfast around 9 am. I had my usual froot loops and some fruit, and Andy had frosted flakes and toast and jam. We also had some fruit juice, though we ended up sharing Andys orange juice because my apple juice was gross.
We set out to Universal Studios at 10 am and decided to wait to catch the water taxi over as we hadnt done this so far and this was to be our last day in the park. This is a lovely relaxing way to arrive.
Once through the gates we hit Jimmy Neutron, Shrek 4D and Men in Black. On our way out of the Jimmy Neutron ride, we saw the man himself so had to stop for a photo.
We were both really hungry by now so we decided to go for some lunch. We got stopped by one of those timeshare women, which made me cross because there was a hole in my stomach! We told her we didnt like everything that they were giving away and she let us go without too much fuss. It made me laugh though too because she said she couldnt believe we had been married for six years because we were still holding hands and looked like we were in love well, durr!
So we finally got to the Monster Café. We hadnt been here before but I liked it because it was a nice cool dark refuge from the hot sunshine. We shared a pepperoni pizza, chocolate chip cookie and a diet coke.
After lunch we went on E.T., Earthquake and Jimmy Neutron again. Andy decided to go on the Mummy (I am still not brave enough for this and am scared of queuing in the dark) so I thought I would watch the Blues Brothers again and I also got to see the amusing preshow with the guy tapdancing. I was glad I had because I got my magic for the day topped up. Ellwood was trying to get Jake to sing Rawhide, and Jake was having none of it. So Ellwood said, What if I get you a date with that gorgeous woman at the back? that was me!! My smile could not have been clinically removed for the rest of the day.
Andy got back from the Mummy just before the end of the show, so we watched the rest together and then went to get some rainbow dippin dots. Sad face, last ones of the holiday. Why cant I find these anywhere else? Loads of places have dippin dots but Universal is the only place weve ever seen with rainbow ones.
We had one last ride on Jimmy Neutron, and there were a few tears from me on the way out. We stopped in at the shop to get Andy some Patrick boxer shorts which say chicks dig me on them, very cute.
We got back to the HRH at about 5.30 pm, and I spent half an hour on the phone to my mum. I had been feeling really woozy and sick for a few days and like I was going to fall over when I was standing still. I always need to talk to my mum in these situations. She thought it was probably the heat and stress as there has been quite a bit of illness in my family recently and she thought I was worrying about people at home too much. She also suggested I go see a pharmacist if I wasnt feeling any better tomorrow.
Feeling slightly better about things, we had baths and went out to the Hard Rock Café for our 7 pm priority seating. We were taken straight to our table and unfortunately I started feeling really sick then. I think it was probably the noise and how manic it was in there, which I usually love, but it was a bit too much for me tonight. I got Andy to distract me by telling me boring things like how we are going to redecorate the kitchen, and this calmed me down enough to cope with the meal. Andy had a sirloin steak with mash, broccoli and gravy, and I had my usual cobb salad. I dont normally take pictures of food because Andy looks at me like I am weird, but I had to take this one to prove to my mum and dad how big these salads are!
After our meal we wandered back and on the way took some pictures of Citywalk and the HRC and HRH in the dark.
We stopped in at the concierge lounge on the way back to our room and got some white chocolate chip icecream with gummi bears, m & ms, hundreds and thousands, and oreo cookie bits. This was when Andy realised that I must not be feeling well because I hardly ate any of it. As ice cream is my favourite dessert in the world, this is not good. (I am still kicking myself that I couldnt manage that ice cream!)
That being the case we decided to stay in our room tonight. Andy went to the bar to get himself a beer and a gin and tonic, and I had a couple of sodas that we had picked up in the concierge lounge. We stayed up talking until 11.45 pm which did me the world of good.
