Laundry Soap

Do they provide Laundry soap at the DVC resorts and if they do, for how many loads?

When you check in to a 1 bedroom or larger villa, you will find a single load box of Tide. You will get another on Trash & Towel Day if your stay is long enough to get one. You are on your owner for softening agents.

You can buy laundry detergent in the resort's gift shop or you can get additional single use boxes of Tide (and softening agents) in the vending machines in the laundry rooms.

Many members bring their own laundry detergent and softener.

We purchased boxes of Cheer in the laundry room near the main pool at SSR for $1 each. (We are allergic to Tide.) I used 1 box per load. We also brought our own dryer sheets. Others have mentioned going to your local laundry mat and purchasing detergent there.

Not meaning to hi-jack the thread but where oh where does the softener go in the machines?!! We're so used to UK front loaders with a drawer - I have no clue about softener when we're at a DVC unit!!

We always take our own detergent (well, leave a big box of the stuff in the Owners Locker...) as I have sensitive skin

I am not sure if there is a dispenser on the washer or not, but you could just listen and add it to the water when the rinse cycle starts if there is not one. We use dryer sheets when we are there b/c they are so convenient. We just pop them in the dryer with the clothes.
