Where is the laundry room located in Kadani? Where is it in Jambo? Trying to figure out what building is better suited for a studio stay. :laundy:

I only know that in Jambo it's on the 5th floor. Since the rooms except for concierge are on the 5th floor, we found it to be convenient. It would be quite a hike from some of the rooms, but for the rooms we were in, they were convenient. As you enter the lobby near bell services, and face the back windows, the laundry room is on the fifth floor in about the "1'oclock" position.

At Kidani, it's across from the Community Hall, near the lobby on the 2nd floor.

how many washers and dryers are there? is it first come, first serve basis?
do you have to stay near them when you are using them? or can you leave and come back?:confused3

At Jamba House, I know there are other laundry rooms other than the one on the fifth floor. Can DVC members use the other ones for free?

Only the DVC laundry room on the 5th floor and the Kidani laundry room are free, the others require coins.

We stayed in Kidani last month. I remember definitely 6 dryers (all side loading)....but washing machines (they have both top loading and side loading) I am not positive about (4 possible 5??).

Yes, they are first come, first serve. When I went to do one load of laundry, I was the only one in there, & yes, I did leave & return later.

When I walked by another time...that laundry room was HOPPING. There must have been 7 or 8 people in there.

Washers/dryers are first come, first serve. While you can leave and come back, just remember that there are lots of other people who may need to use them so you should try to come back around the time the loads should be done, not hours later.

At BLT, they had a sign on the wall that said the washing and drying times were about 30 minutes (although the new front load washer was closer to 40)--so I put things in, left, and then came back right around 30 minutes later--they had a TV in the room which was nice.

When I was at BWV, I was waiting for one of the two dryers. I waited over 30 minutes from the time the dryer went off for someone to come in and remove their clothes and no one came. I guess I could have moved things, but just didn't quite feel comfortable doing that (plus, then I felt I would have to wait with my clothes as some don't take kindly to having that done).
