Laundry question

I am having trouble getting oils out of the sheets. Does anyone have any suggestions. We are lost and we have nice sheets and we don't want to throw them away. TIA

LOL, I am sorry to laugh but I can't be the only person to wonder why??

Hot hot hot water I would guess, but if it doesn't come out I think it is a bad thing to put them in the dryer . It could be combustible in the dryer!!!

Use some Dawn dish detergent in the washer. Also pre treat the sheets with some Dawn poured directly onto them and leave 'em for a day.
Sometimes you have to do it twice if there's a lot of grease but usually the Dawn works wonders! Good luck.

hot water will set the oil. soak them in COLD water. my mum also uses a cool iron with brown paper over the oil to get it out, but thats usually for small areas, so it might be a bit tedious with sheets.

I had problems with DH's pillowcase. His gets so grungy so quickly. He takes a daily shower but his head must release a lot of body oil, probably because there is no hair there to soak it up.

I have found that adding half a cup of borax to the load of sheets helps that problem immensely.

I agree about using Dawn, that's what I use for my husband's sheets and pillowcases. Because of some of the medications of husband takes he produces a lot of body oils, but Dawn does the trick.

Dawn is the main product used to clean wildlife that gets caught up in oil spills. Yay for Dawn! LOL
