Just wondering if you ever find lint, not the kind that you can pick off the clothing BUT this lint is kind of "smeared on" the shirt. It's like I need to wipe it off with a damp towel (which never really works) It's weird. I notice it more on the darker shirts whether I dry them in the dryer or hang them outside on the line. I don't ever find it on jeans but always shirts. Explanation and solution????? Help!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like what happens to my mother's darker scrubs - it's always white lint and it's on them after washing (we hang those on the line to avoid shrinkage). I just let them dry, then go over them with a lint roller or a piece of tape rolled sticky-side out around my fingers before ironing.

Wish I knew why it happens...it's only her scrubs and no other clothing (I wear mostly darks as well and I never have the lint on them!).

Might be a sorting issue. Try sorting lint givers and lint takers into seperate piles and wash seperately. Towels, denim, and new clothing are the biggest offenders when it comes to giving off lint.

This is how I sort and wash our laundry

All towels together

All whites together

All clothes together
