Laundry - POR

I know I read about this somewhere -- but I can't find it now.

Hubby and I are wondering about washers/dryers at POR. Are there machines for each building? And how busy are they? We are there the first week of September...

Not for each building. At POR there are laundry facilities next to each quiet pool. If memory serves me, the machines are $2 per washer or dryer load.

We used the laundry facilities once while we were there. There was no one else even in the facility, we had the place to ourselves. I did have to re-wash one load, as the previous user had left something in the washer (not sure what it was), but it messed up our clothes. Whatever it was, came out when we re-did that load. Wasn't a big deal.....just annoying to have to re-do a load. I'm not sure how many laundry facilities they have, but the one we used was right beside one of the quiet pools (sorry, I don't remember exactly what building area it was), but the laundry facilities are listed on the resort map, that you can get when you check-in.

The one we used on our two trips there was next to Oak Manor, in between it and Partrere Place. On the last afternoon on both trips my wife and I washed clothes and drank Margaritas while the kids played in the quiet pool. Very relaxing afternoon after 4-5 days of parks and when we got home the next day we did not have to wash clothes. The best $4-$6 we spent at Disney.
