My DH is allergic to most detergents, so we have to use the hypo-allergenic kind--currently we are using Purex brand but I need to be able to take smaller version. I have been looking for sample brands or something similar but cannot find any in hypo-allergenic. Has anyone seen these anywhere? Brand really doesn't matter.

I haven't seen any but why don't you fill up an empty water bottle with your detergent. You could premeasure while filling the bottle. Mark with a permenant marker on bottle to know aprox. how much you need to use.

That is why I love this board...I never even thought of that. Thank you so much. :cheer2: :cheer2:

I've used the water bottle method before, and it works great. Just one more word of advice - be sure to pack it in the greatest invention of all - A ZIPLOC!! LOL :cool1:

Last year before we went I found a small container of laundry detergent at BIG LOTS. I would try there if you have one in your area. We put out Tide in a ziplock bag and no spillage!!! When we stay for a week, we do a couple loads of laundry because DH hates messing with too much luggage. Don't forget to bring dryer sheets. (they double as an airfreshener for the luggage) FYI- Wash is $2.00 per load and so is drying and it usually takes two times to dry. If worst comes to worst, they do have soap there (can't remember the kind) that you can buy.
