Each bottle of ECOS detergent that they provide is good for two loads. But it isn't very good stuff.

NO tide pods! Jeez. they are the worst for the environment. They give you the detergent they want you to use. I uses a half a box a load and they come out perfect. I do a load of laundry a day, I just ask for more when I see the ladies in the hall, never a problem. ( Tide Pods... I can't.)

They now will provide more laundry detergent if you need it at no charge. Or they'll provide you a towel pack at no extra charge. You just need to call housekeeping to request more.

This is new to my family. When did this start?

I double zip lock a couple of extra scoops of detergent and just bring it with us. Takes up no rooms, but always double bag it!

My bags have been searched at the airport in the past (there is a tag on them showing they were searched) and I can't imagine having any "white" powder in my suitcase. I always bring a sealed unopened bag of pods (not Tide)...why ask for trouble? I also don't feel like it is up to other members to pay for my extra laundry detergent - or coffee - or extra towels.

Well, certainly not "no charge." It will simply be built in to member fees. I'd rather people just brought their own detergent and coffee.

True, but we don't get to decide. And if it's available I think any member who wants to get more items definitely should without feeling like they shouldn't for some reason as it's no different than other things that are "included". We usually have our own coffee and we also reuse towels just like we do at home but I have zero problem with others getting these items if they need them since they are allowed to. We rarely use a community hall or the equipment provided for other activities. We rarely go to the outdoor movies. Yet we pay for those too along with other things that I'm sure I could come up with.
