I understand that laundry is avail at BCV -free to wash and dry, and that detergent is $1...? May I bring detergent from home instead? If so, are the machines HE or normal?

Yes, you can bring detergent from home. I think most people use the pods (Tide or otherwise), but I usually have samples of detergent from kiosks that I bring.

I never paid attention as to whether it was HE or normal, but I remember someone mentioning that it was HE.

The washers in the villas are not HE, but the ones in the laundry rooms are HE from my experience.
