What type of laundry detergent do you use? I've used Tide for years but now I may try something new.

Tide -- for years. DH says everything else makes his clothes smell funny  -- whatever.

Yeah, I was reading about it ruining the clothes -- I think that must have been some kind of a fluke. I've been using nothing else for 25 years without incident.

I agree that this is some fluke. I have also been using Tide for at least 20 years. I swear, it is the only detergent to get my husbands REALLY dirty clothes clean. It's just all really odd.

I thought it was a fluke too but I have noticed those "greasy type spots" many times and thought it was from softner and I've also noticed those bleach like dots. Certain clothes I wouldn't be surprised to find those dots such as clothes I wear for cleaning the house . However, I am suprised to see them on my "good" clothes and my husband's work clothes.

We only use Tide. What thread about ruining clothes.

Right now I am using Tide HE. I used to use only Cheer, but my daughter did her science experiment (4th grade) on the cleaning power of detergents. We chose 5 detergents and discovered that Tide and Wisk remove ketchup stains best! So, I switched! I use Wisk sometimes, but prefer Tide. I think it makes our clothes smell better.

I like the Tide with Febreeze! :thumbsup2

My mom uses that 100 gallon or so ( ;) ) kirkland brand detergent and I swear it's better than Tide.

Tide with frebreezze

No liquid softener- and bounce with frebreeeeze sheets...

Never noticed anything on our clothes...and the Tide is the only thing that will even touch some of the stuff on DBF's work pants

Brandy

Gain to wash and Bounce for the dryer.

I use Tide Coldwater. I have never had a problem. I also use a tiny bit of the WalMart brand fabric softener. Works just as good as Downy.

I think the Brady Bunch uses those brands also!! Remember when they were doing the commercial and the kids had to go out and get dirty?

I like Tide with Downy April Fresh!!!!

Also, fyi the walmart brand of fabric softner is good!! It's real cheap too.

All Free and Clear

I have a laundry soap allergy and all was one of the first that I came across with no perfumes. :)

Glad they are making free and clear fabric softeners now :).

Just plain old Tide! I've been using it for at least 10 years. I don't have a particular type of Tide that I use. I usually get the originally scent or fresh breeze, but will pick up whichever they have if it's on sale and they don't have those two. I only use the liquid though, I hate powder soap.

I used to use Island Fresh Gain but, now that I have new front loading washer and dryer I have to use HE detergents. I have discovered Method's Fresh Air Scent!! :thumbsup2 It is 3x concentrate. It smells soooo good. I love it. You can find it a Target. It is expensive but worth it.

Tide with Bleach alternative. I'm on a septic system and therefore must use liquid soap but I believe the powder detergents clean better. I've never had a problem with Tide. Now, the new Tide stick is another issue. I don't recommend it on a white shirt regardless of the commercial to the contrary. My white blouse still has a discoloration where the Tide stick was used.

I remember! Wasn't the soap they did the commercial for called "Safe"?

I use Tide Free (liquid). Works OK for me. :)
