Hi,

I know that AP holders are supposedly going to have access or already can make FP+ reservations in advance. Is there any "latest news" on that? I was wondering for a friend that doesn't have MBs already when she might be able to access the advance reservations with her AP.

From the other thread about offsiters, it looks like some AP holders can already do this. Other than linking the AP was there anything else you had to do?

There has been some eMail info sent to some AP holders, but it only mentioned that a few AP holders would be chosen for tests. No specifics given.

Yeah, I received something in the mail about AP holders being able to test "soon". But never heard anything else official from Disney. Just wondering if other AP holders had been contacted or were able to prebook.

I already have MBs since October, so my AP us "unlocked" for FP+ but my friend's isn't.

An email was sent out yesterday to all/some AP holders, here is context....

We continue to make great progress on MyMagic+ for Passholders. As we test and enhance this new service, we want to keep our Passholders in the know every step of the way. So we've created this series to provide helpful tips, highlight important updates and provide answers to your top questions about what's to come.

Passholder testing now in progress
Currently, we are randomly selecting Passholders to take part in a test of our MagicBands and our new Disney FastPass+ service. If you happen to be selected, we will contact you with details.

While we can't accommodate requests to be added to our test list, there are still ways for you to experience MyMagic+ today.

Use our FastPass+ kiosks to try it yourself
Even if you do not receive an invitation to take part in our test, you can still utilize the Disney FastPass+ kiosks now available in all four Parks. (Simply look for the FP+ kiosk signs pictured below.)

With Disney FastPass+ service, you have more than double the experiences to choose from. And you get access to FastPass+ experiences such as parades, fireworks and more attractions than ever before.

You can make three selections per day (in one Park per day) all from one convenient location. And you have the flexibility to change and adjust your selections at other Park kiosks as the day goes on.

As always, if you have any questions, simply ask a Disney Cast Member. They're stationed at each kiosk to help you out.

Here's what you can do right now.
Link your Pass in My Disney Experience to see special Passholder offers and information—and to get ready for the launch of MyMagic+.

Availability subject to device limitations and features may vary by device or service provider. Message and data rates may apply. Coverage not available everywhere. If you're under 18, get your parents' permission first.
Coming up...
Look for more of these special Passholder Newsflash updates for the latest news on Disney FastPass+, MagicBands and exciting benefits just for Passholders.

I am a local, FL resident AP holder. I have an ADR for my birthday the end of April. When I went into MDE today to make a change to my reservation, i noticed that it is now telling me that I should be able to start making FP+ selection on Feb 23rd. I don't have a hotel reservation and have not stayed on-site. Is this maybe some good news? :cool1:

I think some others have been teased with a near-term date as well, only to have it change once they got to that date. Keep watching for sure, but I'll be curious to see if it still says that on the 23rd. :goodvibes

Yeah, I am tempted to make a trip over there this weekend just to see what's going on. I haven't been to the parks and used my AP to get in since December (thanks to some luck with a few of the Disney Parks Blog events). One of my co-workers went to the parks the weekend before last and got selected for the AP testing. pixiedust:

I wish making an ADR would have opened it up for us. /sigh. We have one set for this weekend but FP+ is still locked up tight on my MDE page.
