Late spring 2025 incentives (April 29-July 14)

And they can take the sorcerer pass option away at any time
And a meteor could take out WDW at any time, but that doesn't mean I base my decisions on that. And even if they did it would probably be replaced by some other deal we could use

Disney has almost always done something for it's member for tickets/passes. I think there were a few years in the early 2000s without a discount or extra option for annual passes but that's about it. But they did at least get 10% discounts on length of stay tickets

Originally members got free tickets until 1999, then that went away and in 2005 they got annual pass discounts.

And then around 2021 I believed they changed it to give us access to the sorcerer's pass (a cheaper florida pass) instead of straight up discount.

I just don't think they would change something like an option for good park access that has pretty fundamental to DVC sales and reputation. Especially now that they seem to be heading towards selling more DVC and less hotel rooms going forward. They would seriously be shooting themselves in the foot to remove one of the biggest reasons members buy direct when they are trying to sell more DVC points.

Doesnt make sense if you're a Florida resident to be direct
As a Florida resident who did direct and might do more - you are really underestimating how much I love the locked out resorts! Riviera looks amazing, lazy river at the Lakeshore Lodge, Cabins could be fun for the kids, and anything new that comes in the future...that's the perks of direct!

I think them taking away sorcerers pass is much greater than a meteor hitting WDW lol. But like I always say, some things works/makes sense for some and not others.

Is my math right here (as a FL resident who wants to get one more direct :) )

Poly - 100 points - $235, 7 point incentive, $1000 AP discount, $500 devloper credit, $2000 Magican beginnings = $193 a point
Poly - 150 points - $235, 9 point incentive, $1000 AP discount, $500 devloper credit, $2000 Magican beginnings = $196 a point

Riv - 100 points - $235, 9 point incentive, $1000 AP discount, $500 devloper credit, $2000 Magican beginnings = $191 a point
Riv - 150 points - $235, 12 point incentive, $1000 AP discount, $500 devloper credit, $2000 Magican beginnings = $193 a point

I figured my way around the blocked resorts that works for now. I've always said I see the value in perhaps one direct purchase to avoid some hassle, but I'm still not swayed with current pricing and offerings. 🤷‍♀️

Still, wouldn't be the end of the world. Unless the meteor is big enough lol. Slightly longer stays but less often with 14 day tickets, some resort only stays, more stays at the beach resorts, there are lots of options even if they do remove the passes without any replacement.

I will buy direct at $165 pp

Magical beginnings should be $3,000 for the 150 point contracts since it is $20 per point

I will buy direct at $165 pp
I hope you like OKW because the next time they fire sale it may be the best opportunity for that. With how much they have been raising prices and having bad incentives the newer resorts may never get there again unless they REALLY need to move points

It’s 150 point min for magical beginnings unless I missed something in the fine print.

I could work with any of them 😆 except the 2042 resorts I'm not interested in no matter how much i like them or ones with super high mf which I'm not sure but I think okw may fall in the higher range.

That's good then.

The last time prices were decent when I got my direct points I got 300 at RIV and even then it was still 178 before MB and 158 after. If you want 165 after MB it's possible but we'll have to see. If you want 165 before MB OKW may be your best (or the only likely) bet

Now that I have points I'm totally looking to use MB. I'm taking a gamble and waiting especially now that I see that sales are slowing and the longer loan terms i think something may be a brewing 🤣🤣

It's okay, problem is for our DLR trips I dont like to plan that far ahead so I need the extra availability VDH offers. Also there are times year VGC point chart is very high and VDH is very low.
It's sounds like you got a good balance going! I'm not crazy about planning so far ahead either so I've learned i need to make sure i have some points set aside for these spur of the moment trips especially at the hard to get resorts!

I haven't done the 11 month or 7 month booking window yet so I'm glad i havent had to wake up early, but i did book a akv club level for February so soon enough I will see what 7 month booking is like To complete the rest of the trip! I've done pretty well booking at 4-6 months out at a peak season but it's been a lot of time stalking. I hope at 7 months some of that is alleviated.

I also realize that I'm going for the hard to get ones which won't happen every year. I'm really liking it so far!

Correct, my guide said its AP plus D23, no addition Visa discount at this time.
Yes, I spoke with my guide and he shared the same information about Disney Visa being gone and provided me the same charts you shared earlier today.

This round of incentives is basically the same as last time give or take $1 on PVB IT. I guess it's slightly better if you only want 100 or 125 points since the AP works on that and the Disney Visa didn't.

Okay so D23 is the offer listed. That makes it a no deal for me then.

If the Visa was additional I could make this make sense for us. I guess it's over. So it's D23 $500 and AP. Once the math is done its less pp for 100 points than 150
Doing some quick math I can earn ~16% back in CC points bringing my OOP cost to ~$183 per point before MB. If I took MB that would mean $163 for PVB direct which honestly isn't bad at all.

I made an offer on a resale VGF which had a nice chunk of points and still haven't heard back. It's so frustrating.

If I do decide to buy I won't do it until mid July so I can straddle the next promo window. Every month I wait is money saved in 2025 dues.

This is my concern going resale on something that I can purchase in active sales with incentives. If my price per point is within reach of the resale average I would much prefer getting full access and picking my own contract sizes so I can use them anywhere.

At the right price I'm right there with you 😀
