late September stay advice

I just preliminary booked us a stay from 09/20-09/25 ...
This will be the first time we are coming during that time of the year.
We did Christmas week in 2012 and first week of January in 2014... Christmas week wasn't so bad and while I am sure it could have been worse (can't it always?) this January was miserable with the crowds.

The crowd calendars indicate that it is a crowd level of 3ish (some are 2 some are 4) - (MK has a 5 on some days which we would avoid that day) average during those days we are there...

Question (as stupid as it may sound) : Will we see / notice a SIGNIFICANT difference in the crowds? It is the week after value season - fall season... food and wine will be going on and I believe MNSSHP will have started... so what are your thoughts about the date?

And please dont tell me that it will be GREAT giving that I am "used" to the crowds of Christmas I need more specifics

We were there last year from 9/20 to 9/28. I thought the crowds were fine, we were testing FP+ though and not everyone was at that time. I found the crowds to be very manageable. But it was VERY humid and very hot.

Food and Wine during the week is not very crowded: just avoid the weekends. I've been the last week of September and found DHS and Epcot had very low crowds. MNSSHP seemed a little busy but we still had a great time!

We are going around the same time (17-27th) and go each year around then. Every year we have seen noticeably more crowds but still very manageable. Very hot and humid but we take breaks mid day. I believe I read that F&W begins on the 19th this year so expect that to draw even more people.

I am not too worried about the weather. My husband has been stationed in west/central GA for the past 8 years and I am used to hot and humid... End of September Florida weather is comfy to me coming from 100+ degree July/August weather

So are the crowd calendars wrong saying a 3 level?

Would you recommend a different time? I think it gets worse from there crowd wise and before that it will be too hot. August is NOT going to happen - way too hot... *sigh*

That's when we're going! The 22nd to the 28th. It's our favorite time to go (September/OCtober). Low-ish crowds. MNSSHP. And apparently F&W this year!
