Late Sept Trip Report - No line at the Flight of the Passage? What's going on????

We went in late Sept, days before the start of the 50th. I have been to FoP like 4,5 times in the past, without Fastpass, my wait was never under 2 hours. But this time, there was NO LINE!! It said 15 min wait, that's cuz it takes you 10 mins just to walk all the way down. I don't believe it. The entire Animal Kingdom was like disserted. Mt Everest ride was like 5 mins. We did most of the major rides like 3 times and still finished the day way earlier than any time we had been in the park. That was just strange. Not sure if anyone has a theory why late Sept is this dead??
