Wondering if anyone knows how this works? (Or if they allow it at all...)

I see we can book a 6:55pm reservation at Tony's in the Magic Kingdom, but this is on a night where the park closes @ 7pm for the Halloween party. We won't be attending the party; would they still let us keep that reservation?

Thanks in advance to all you knowledgeable people!!

They may let you keep that but do a perp walk. Tony's is so close to the main gate it may be an exception. Are you booking via the MNSSHP link or elsewhere?

No they won't. The confirmation will say that a party ticket is required. The restaurant's now have an early cutoff for nob-party guests, I think 6:20pm. Show up after their cutoff and you won't be allowed to enter.

The reason you are seeing the possibility of 6:55pm is that the system can't tell if you have a party ticket or not.

I think @_auroraborealis_ is right. Tony's is so close to the entrance, they will allow it, but you will be escorted to the exit after dinner. I'm also pretty sure that Tony's is NOT open for reservations during the party.

If OP is not using the MNSSHP Reservations link the ADR will be honored. It is very easy to Perp Walk someone from Tony's.

I just went to the Tony's page and did a search for a dinner on a party night. It's a 6:55. This was NOT via the unique link. The standard disclaimer is there about "IF APPLICABLE" hard ticket blah blah. But I am fairly certain this is going to be allowed based on it being bookable outside the special PARTY RESERVATIONS link, the fact that Tony's is only "open" until 7, and there being no "special party hours" indicated anywhere.

Thanks, guys! I did kind of 'assume' that it would be ok without a ticket, since all of the other reservations listed at the that time/day were under the 'Halloween Party' heading, but this one was not.
I appreciate all of your help!

And again No! It won't be honoured. The hard ticket is the crucial word. They will give them the ADR but when they show up, without a party ticket, they will no be allowed into the restaurant. The last non-part ADR time that will be honoured is about 6:20. So, the party ticket is NEEDED!

The problem with your logic is the hard ticket language is now on EVERY ADR. Booking lunch for tomorrow? The hard ticket language is there. I think we both know darn well that "if applicable" is not, tomorrow, for 11:30, right? It's now boilerplate.

They did the new link for Party Reservations this year, and have defined participating restaurants. Tony's is not among them (https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/d...s-not-so-scary-halloween-party-table-service/ lists BOG, CRT and CP, but not the restaurants that are closing at 7 -- Tony's, Plaza, Skipper Canteen). I do not think this falls into the disclaimer language of IF APPLICABLE now on every ADR, because it is bookable outside of that link.

Key language on the MNSSHP reservations page: Reservations will not be available through each restaurant’s dining page for the duration of the event.

This ADR is available through Tony's page. Therefore it is not included.

I like the idea of having the debate settled, but I trust phone CMs as much as I trust bus drivers. Aka not at all. If I were OP I would make a backup reservation and be prepared to not know the answer until I'm down there.

So are you saying for them to take the hit on a no-show fee if they can't get in? Then head to the other ressie?

- Not correct.
- Not all restaurants have the same cut off times.
- Tony's is not open during the party so she is booking a normal dinner.
- Disney changed the dining rules/hours a couple years ago, as you say.
- Disney changed the dining rules/hours this year again with party independent booking site.
- Am sure they changed to make it very clear you are booking during a party where you need tickets.
- And folks on the regular booking site can be confident they are safe.

This is a MNSSHP night with regular dining hours.

The Crystal Palace
Tuesday September 19, 2017
Breakfast
8:00 AM - 10:45 AM
Lunch
11:30 AM - 2:45 PM
Dinner
3:15 PM - 5:55 PM

The difference is likely because CP is open for the party and built in time to get non-ticket guests out of the park. Tony's will close as party starts and non-ticket guests will be guided right next door to the gate.

NEW THIS YEAR: For party dining you book via special web page ..
.... and each restaurant has different hours.

Only ones open are CP, CRT and BOG.

OP: Book it. Look at each page closely, do you see any warning for party tickets? When your email comes, is there any warning for party tickets? These things always show up when booking during party hours. My bet is you won't see these for Tony's.

There is a boilerplate disclaimer about hard tickets with EVERY ADR now, so it's not really indicative any more. I did test it the other day with a 6:55 for an MNSSHP night.

I think that the hours stuff and the way they're handling the eateries open during parties is pretty strong as an indicator. Tony's is pretty much the easiest perp walk to do.
