Late night touring w/ teens?

First timers at DL (WDW vets) headed there starting June 23rd. Looks like DL is open until midnight every night and CA until 10 (except for Grad night) - which is amazing since "late" nights were non-existent for our last WDW trip. Question - do the parks thin out at all later in the evenings, or do crowd levels remain pretty consistent until closing?

Pretty consistent especially when CA closes at 10pm based on our last trip. A lot of people move over to DL. You can still get some rides in but it's not walk on except for certain rides. Hyperspace Mountain was still ridiculous around 11:30pm on our last night. Autotopia was easy to walk on. Jungle Cruise was no wait. Maybe check the app around closing time the next couple weeks before your trip to see how it goes.

I would stalk the app - it won't be a perfect barometer but should give you an idea. What we've found is that the last hour can be great for catching some short ride times, especially for the Fantasyland rides. I've noticed Smugglers Run's wait times also drop after 11pm. Like the other poster said, some ppl will rush over to DL once DCA closes and WOC is over and then you may get stuck in a lot of congestion around Main Street and New Orleans Square due to F!, and fireworks. I'd head over to DL before DCA closes and avoid the afore mentioned areas but after 11pm I have noticed things thin out.

There are some rides like Astro Blasters and Splash Mountain which get to negligible waits at the end of the day. Some rides like Big Thunder Mountain usually have intimidating looking posted waits but the actual wait time will be substantially less unless you are in the back of the crowd that rushes that line when Fantasmic ends. Space Mountain often has longish waits over 1/2 an hour at the end of the day.
