Late night Illuminations on Wed. 6/11

Was anyone staying at BCV on Wednesday, June 11th and heard the late night Illuminations about 11:30 p.m.? I was almost asleep and heard the fireworks and got up to see what was going on. It was the Illuminations fireworks at Epcot. I meant to ask someone about it but forgot. Was anyone else there and know what was going on? Just curious!

I saw someone post about it on another thread, not sure if it was the same night. I remember one night when we were at BWV last December we faced Epcot in a standard view and saw fireworks going off at about 11:30. They weren't as spectacular as Illuminations. My guess is that it was a private afterhours party.

Probably a private thing. They do that a lot.

One night, we had dinner at Le Celler in Canada, and we were that after IllumiNations was done. It must ahve been about 10PM and we were making our way out of the park toward the International Gateway(we were at the BCVs), and all of a sudden there was this HUGE explosion!!! I thought that someone had dropped a bomb somewhere on WDW!!!(This was post 9/11). Come to find out, they do that everyy night after IllumiNations once the park is fairly empty to "burn off" the rest of the fireworks and fuel out of the ball that's in the middle of the lake there.

Scared the you-know-what out of me!!!!!!!

We were there in Dec. and were told they filmed a commercial.

It was me, we were there Suday- Thursday and Wed night is the only night we saw them.

We've heard and seen mystery fireworks in the past. A CM told us that will happen from time-to-time when they want to try out a new affect or shell.

Where I live there are some fireworks manufactures nearby. Some nites,from where I work,I've been treated to some pretty great displays just because they are testing for up-coming holidays.
