Late Night DME

Hello, our flight to MCO won't get in until 10:10pm. We have a scheduled conflict that day so we can't take an earlier flight. This of course means we won't be able to use the Disney Luggage Service. I was dissapointed with this at first cause I want to get to our hotel room as soon as possible once we arrive there. But since it takes 3 hrs for the bags to get to our hotel, probably is better that we claim our baggage ourselves. No waiting till 1am for our night clothes. LOL

Anyway, just wondering how much of an effect DME will have with us getting in so late as well as how long it might take to get to our destination. The sooner we get there, the sooner we can sleep and be ready for the park the following morning. We're also gonna do online/advance check-in to save ourselves some time.

I think it will be dependent on a few things: how quickly your bags come up on the carousel, the # of people using ME at that time, if they re-group the resorts on a particular route during different times of day, how many resorts are on your route and what stop your resort is on the route. I would plan on a minimum of 1 hour from the time you land to a max of about 2.

DME has told me that their goal is for a bus to depart either 1, when it's full or 2, when the first guest has been on for 30 min. That doesn't change just because it's late a night. What could change is having more stops since the bus has to service more resorts, no idea really. But really, the only major addition to your time should be the time to get bags. You should still be at your resort within about 2 hours from landing. Give or take 30 min is in the normal range
