Late July or Mid August when is a better time to visit?

We are thinking of doing a mid week 4 day trip out to Disneyland driving from northern Cali. Will probably go a Tuesday leave a Saturday. Would the last week of July be better or second week of August. I know it will be hot but crowd wise is there really any difference? Just wanted thoughts from the experts.

No difference in crowds.

I would say the biggest advantage to going the last week of July is you might bump into me. The biggest advantage for the second week of August is you might bump into BlackJackDelta.

Boy, are those two cards to draw to. It really makes no difference as long as you stay away from the AP unblock dates.

We went in August, followed the Hydroguy plan, the crowds were huge but we never waited in line more than 15min for the top rides. It was very hot!

I would think August might be a little better. By then AZ and Utah schools should be back in session. I think most of them start back to school August 11.

Our area goes back the 2nd week of August too.

We were going to go the last week of July until we discovered that the room rate was cheaper for the 1st week of Aug, so that's when we are going. You might want to compare hotel prices to decide.
