Can anyone share experiences arriving 30-45 mins later than your scheduled ADR, specifically during Free Dining Period?

Have phoned over a dozen times, without success, to tweak our Whispering Canyon ressie but it remains in conflict with the only night we can view Spectromagic.

With an 8:20 ressie, I'm thinking we would be at least half hour late if we leave MK after parade and VERY quickly walk to the boat docks, hustling to Wilderness Lodge.
Will we lose our seating completely? :scared:

We have a number of less than ideal ADR times but this is the only one that is creating a real rift amongst us!
Of course I'll continue attempts to change ADR and/or keep up the "we can't do it all" banter, but hoping for best and preparing for worse.

I have been to disney more times than I can count, and I have never be ontime!! So don't worry, you may have to wait a bit longer but over all the staff will work with you! Keep in mind you may be an hour late with the traffic of people on the boats! Just a FYI!!

I do know that an hour late can cause problems too!

I would just be careful- I spoke with a disney dining CM yesterday who had just gotten off the phone with a very angry woman. She was already 15 minutes late for her California Grill ADR and was freaking out about losing her deposit. She was going to be another 10-15 minutes.

The CM wanted to give her the phone number for the restaurant and she wanted him to transfer her (which is impossible for him to do).

I would bring along the WCC phone number (direct line) and call them to tell them that you are on your way but are going to be late- and see what they say

I would not assume that they would not just cross you off as a "no-show" after a certain amount of time.

I do apologize but what would you think if your on schedule and time and than someone who’s half an hour ore hour to late shows up and the waiters would give them your table? I would be very annoyed and surely not accept that.

Then the waiter will be caught between two angry guests and then I would not just count on a table if I was late.:sad2:
