I thought, from only reading the beginning of the post above, that Disney's sale offer that just came out (as opposed to the Disney Visa offer last week) was also 15% for the top discount. It's actually 20%, as in previous years, so my mistake.

I booked last spring, luckily, and that rate is well below the current rate with a 20% discount.

No, you're right! I have a MK but didn't see the 20% off for MKs until later!

Had anyone ever had luck getting a discount on an existing booking for a room type that is no longer available? I went to modify my package and discounts were only showing for GCH and regular deluxe studio villas at VDLH. We are booked for a garden deluxe studio, which is currently sold out.

I called yesterday on mine…the CM looked day by day (would have given me a discounted rate for any day of my stay) but nothing was available. She even had her supervisor look as she was surprised nothing was available. Hope you might have better luck!!

My friend has a GCH reservation in November and GCH is sold out and they were told no discount can be applied until room availability in the category opens. They were told to call back every day which they have and still nothing.

Thanks, that's what I figured. I thought I remembered reading something like that from a poster here on the Disboards.

Oh well, even if I can't get a discount I'm so excited to stay in this room!
