We usually go in Sept and MK closes 10 pm most nights. Great time to ride is between 8-10. Can even get on Mine Train back to back with minimal wait during the fireworks.

We will be there for one day Jan 13th and MK closes at 8 pm. What will be our experience during the hours of 6pm to 8pm. We wont do the electric parade at 7 pm and we will skip the fireworks to ride the rides. Usually like to hit in order: BTMR, Space Mt, Barnstormer, Under the sea, Peter Pan, 7DMT to finish the night during Celebrate The Magic/Wishes.

Can this be done?

Most likely, but of course it can't be guaranteed.

I skip the parades and fireworks to power ride during the last hour or two. Never had a problem doing this. Your chances of success are good.

I don't know specifically what you'll be able to accomplish, but I think you can expect 6-8 to be a bit less productive than 8-10. I often travel when the parks don't have very late hours and I don't find the "ride during the last 1-2 hours" quite as amazing as those who describe it on late closings like midnight and later. You don't have all the parents of little ones out of the parks yet, but lines should be shorter than their midafternoon peaks.

I think you ask the question slightly backwards, but bear with me....

Nobody can promise you a rose garden, but odds are pretty good evening crowds on a slow day in January will be low. Odds are great you'll be able to cover much ground.

You are allowing 20minutes for each ride you list- including walk time. I venture you also don't want to watch Wishes from behind the castle. So that's another few minutes. Your plan is probably a little too optimistic, but if you are flexible and potentially willing to swap out one or two of your picks, (any that has a long wait) the rest might be feasible...including a double ride of one that's got a short wait.

Even with a FP, this year, more than one visit, we waited over half an hour to ride Space Mtn. Other times over the years, it has been down.

If any rides have waits, they will be Space, 7DMT, Pan and maybe BTMRR.
