Late dinner- will there still be buses????

Just made my reservations for dinner and a couple of them are late at night (8:35- MGM, 9:00- Downtown Disney and 9:10-Contemporary). They are not during extra Magic Hours so my concern is transportation back. I am not renting a car so I am relying soley on Disney shuttle buses/trams.
Any advice?

At MGM they'll run buses until the park is clear, so no worries there.

At DD they'll run buses until 2am at Pleasure Island, so definitely no worries there!!

At the CR you may have to take a bus to DD, then hop on a bus back to your resort. That could take quite a while, but you will make it back. Again no worries! Buses run to DD until very late since PI stays open until 2am, so you'll have plenty of time to get to DD, then back to your resort. And if you want, you can always hail a cab.

In all the trips I've taken, I've never had a car (except for the off-site trip). Last trip was the first time we actually hailed a cab because we didn't feel up to the transfer (which is fine, but can be a pain - sometimes after a nice dinner you just want to go "home")!

Or, if the MK buses are still running, monorail over to MK and grab a bus to your resort. If the buses are running, that would be a lot quicker than treking to DTD and then to your resort.

We've never cabbed, but those who have assure me that taking a cab is easy and relatively inexpensive.

We had a late dinner last time at the Grand Floridian. MK had closed a lot earlier so we had to wait for a bus to DTD then to our resort. However, we were the only ones on the bus so he took us straight to our resort! Very nice bus driver. =) Also, last week we were at MGM at 11, needing to get to our car at Epcot, which had closed at 9. There were no more buses, but a transportation guy called one for us. I wouldn't worry. They won't let you be stranded!

Does anyone know how late after a park closes the buses run? If MK closes at 8, when would the last bus run?

I think the buses run 2 hours after a park closes- or longer if it takes longer for everyone to clear out.
