Late departure - hanging out at AKL KV

On our departure day, we have a 6:40 pm flight - thinking DME will be 3ish. If the kids wanted to swim but it's after the 11 am checkout time, are there showers we could use? What's the latest checkout time we could get? Given where we are, I'm sure we'll find plenty of things to occupy us that day, but knowing my kids, the pool will be the only thing they'll want to do!

Latest checkout will be 11. There are showers at the fitness center I know, maybe at the pool.

We got an extended checkout this past August to 1:00. Just had to ask. I know many will tell you it’s impossible on points but we’ve done it a few times. It’s probably just based on if they CAN. It’s worth asking. There are showers at the kidani bathrooms by the pool though.

Yeah - we are checking out on Thursday before Easter, so I'm guessing our room will be booked and they'll want us out of there!

You never know until you ask. They can’t clean all the rooms of people checking out that day at once, right? When I asked at the desk, he called housekeeping and asked them, so it’s their call. He did tell me that you have a better chance if in a studio than a bigger room that takes longer to clean.

My daughter used our points spring break and they gave them an extra hour at copper creek. I think it really depends on a lot of things. I don’t always ask, because usually we are wanting to get out early and start driving home. But the 2 times we did, otr times they said yes.
