Late departure and no park ticket - What do you do to pass time?

We often only stay 1-3 days so an extra day on the park ticket is very pricey. We always do a pool day. Pack a duffel with a change of clothes, lock up valuables in suitcase with a padlock and drop suitcases at bell services, then swim and get lunch by the pool until we are ready to get changed at the locker rooms, reshuffle our belongings between carry-on and suitcase and then go.

Once we did Disney springs but I kind of don’t get it. Just feels like an outdoor mall back at home.

We always do a park on arrival and departure day. Next trip we are mixing it up. We haven’t been to Disney springs in about 13 or so years and DD16 is interested in checking it out (I hate shopping) so we will check out at 11 am and head over there until it’s time to head to the airport. Grab some lunch, maybe some snacks to take home and let DD shop a bit.

So many restaurant experiences and snacks to try all around WDW.I like to go find them and relax on property but not at parks. In fact (dare I say this) I prefer that to actual parks mostly. Pools, snacking, views, relaxing, shopping, even shows here and there depending on where you are.....
