Late Checkouts

We'll be staying at Port Orleans Riverside and won't be departing until 2:30 P.M. to catch the train home. I know that checkout time is 11:00 A.M.

Will Disney let us keep our rooms until closer to our departure time?

If not, will Disney let us store our luggage somewhere until we leave?

You may be able to get an extra hour until noon, but it really depends on capacity; meaning if someone checking in the day of your departure has been assigned to your room. Late checkouts have been a hotly discussed topic on these boards. Yes you can check your luggage with bell services,
which would be my suggestion. Check out early, check your luggage, make a quick trip to a park and be back around 2:00 / 2:15 to get your luggage and you're on your way.

We don't want to stay in our room, so checking ourselves out and checking our luggage in sounds like the winner. I wasn't sure they'd allow us to do that. Thanks for the info!

I just wanted to add that you are considered a Disney guest until midnight of your departure day. You are entitled to use Disney transportation, the hotel bell services, etc. all throughout your last day. If you have lenght of stay passes you can visit any of the theme parks you want your last day.
By all means, check your luggage and enjoy your last day. For most of us it is kind of a sad day!
