Late Check Out Still Offered @ Dolphin??

I once paid $30 at Dolphin to delay our checkout until 3 or 4 pm, I forget which. This was because it was a busy week, I read here that at that time Dolphin would grant this to Starwood members for free if the room wasn't needed for a new guest that day. Any recent info on this?

I have always gotten a late check-out with SPG, perhaps I have been lucky that the room wasn't needed.

The Annual Passholder discount also includes a late, 2pm, checkout. I have an AP rate for December and my written confirmation dosen't mention the late checkout but when I check that same reservation on the SPG site it states 2pm late checkout.

We had a 2pm late checkout this past Sept when we booked the Dolphin with an AP discount.

Typically it depends if they need the room or not. However, by leaving a tip everyday for housekeeping, I always tell them the day I am checking out and they say they will clean our room last so I always get late checkout that way.

It really depends on how busy the hotel is. We had to call several times before they'd agree to a 2 p.m. checkout on July 12.
