Late Breakfast/Brunch Character Dining Suggestions?

We want to do a character late breakfast or brunch on a non-park weekday. We are staying at GF.
Current top contenders: Ohana :stitch2: ::MickeyMo(can walk there, kids like these characters, but have read some negative reviews about waits and food quality) and Cape May Cafe ::MinnieMo (far from us-would prob pay for Minnie Van both ways so way more $$, food sounds great, kids like these characters but reading only three characters there now?).
It’s worth throwing Chef Mickey’s into the ring (kids LOVE Fab Five and it’s close), although the dinner food there was TERRIBLE- are breakfast or brunch better?

Which would you choose?

We’ve already done Bon Voyage breakfast and want to venture away from our resort (1900 PF).
Thanks in advance for your help! :thanks:

I think Cape May Cafe has the best food of those three. I haven't been there for breakfast in a couple years so I can't speak to recent character experiences but in the past they've always been good. Do you need carseats? I'm happy we do not anymore because uber/lyft is much cheaper than minnie vans - you can take the bus from the GF to HS and then walk (15 minutes) or take the boat (more like 20 minutes) over to the BC/YC if you don't want to pay for transportation.

If you do happen to start thinking bout Cape May, you can just take Disney bus to Hollywood, and then walk. It's about 10-15 minutes.
You could also hop on the Friendship boat from Hollywood, but walking would probably be faster.

Another vote for Cape May. Just take bus to DHS and walk or take friendship boat over. Since you aren't rushing from a park, the boat ride might be a nice treat for the kids

Thank you for your reply! :-) Yes, unfortunately we need car seats, and we are going in September (eeeek!), so I think the HS buses will be especially busy. But CMC does sound wonderful! Any thoughts on 1900 Park Fare breakfast? My husband has decided he wants to put it in the running!

Thanks for the tip!:goodvibes CMC sounds great! I am a little leery of the HS buses as we are going in September, but it's good to know we have that option!

Late Breakfast at Cape May is our Favorite.

Thanks for your reply! :-) It's great to hear that you enjoy specifically a late CMC breakfast! Any thoughts on 1900 Park Fare breakfast? My husband has decided he wants to put it in the running!

Thanks for chiming in!:goodvibesThe boat ride sounds like a lot of fun, as does CMC! Any thoughts on 1900 Park Fare breakfast? My husband has decided he wants to put it in the running!

We enjoy all late resort character breakfasts. You miss the folks rushing to the parks and we think better interaction.

We did a 10:30 breakfast at Cape May in January. Donald, Daisy, Minnie, and Goofy were all there. Our kids are teens and usually don’t care much about characters, but the character interaction was great! Food was yummy, too. Then you can take a stroll around the Boardwalk to walk off breakfast.

We all love Bon voyage.

Next fave is indeed 1900pf.
The character interaction was wonderful and dd1 still talks about the food (in a very dreamy fashion)
She would happily go back tomorrow; but I’ve (just about) managed to convince her -we will return, however for dinner.

And we are trying ohana brekkie for the first time on our next trip! :stitch2:

1900 PF is also good but I really like Cape May better. I liked the characters at both but this beach outfits are just too cute!

I love Cape May Cafe. To my knowledge, the characters are Donald, Daisy, Minnie, and Goofy, unless that's changed more recently.

Currently planning a 1900 Park Fare breakfast for my next trip because I've heard very good things.

That sounds great! Thanks for chiming in! :goodvibes

1900 has the best food we think. Nonetheless I would go to the one that is most convenient.

Thank you for your reply! We are staying at the GF, so one of the monorail resort restaurants would definitely be the easiest! We've only had dinner at 1900 PF, but we LOVED it! :-)

Thank you for chiming in! 1900 PF is AMAZING for dinner (we've gone twice and would go back)! Hope you love Ohana breakfast! :stitch2:::MickeyMo

Thank you for your reply! Maybe CMC is worth the travel from GF over to Minnie and her friends at CMC! ::MinnieMo

Thank you for your reply, as well as the info. re. CMC characters! 1900 PF dinner is wonderful and I'm sure breakfast is just as good! :goodvibes

Try Bon Voyage with Rapunzel & Flynn Rider, Ariel and Prince Eric.

Thank you for your reply! :-) We've done BV- definitely a neat one! Hoping to try one we haven't done yet this time!
