Late August or Early September?

My sister wants to make a trip to DL before her kids start school after labor day. Since my son is small we always go on non peak times Since she offered to pay my way, this is her first time going and me being the DL veteran how could I not refuse!!

When do you suggest we should go, August or early September? I am thinking mid-late August?

Mid August is very busy and very warm, our favorite time due to the fact thatn my college age kids need to go back to school late August.
