Late Aug. compared to 1st week of Oct.?

How much hotter is it the 3rd week of Aug compared to the 1st week of Oct? We were there this past Oct and found it pretty hot and crowded. DH and I are going Aug. 23rd for 5 days- how does it compare? We have never been there in the summer before. We can deal with heat ok, just wanted to know what to expect. It was in the upper 80's in Oct while we were there, and we had a rainstorm every day. How much hotter can it get????

Crowds start to go up in Oct. Temps are probally not to much different. August will be a little hotter.
