Our flight gets into MCO at 10pm...so we're hoping for an inexpensive (that's the nice way of saying "cheap" right? :teeth: ) place to stay one night before we check-in at our Disney resort. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! As you can see...we're only a month :hyper: away!

Consider using Priceline for a cheap, yet nice, place to stay. Check out www.biddingfortravel.com for hints on how to bid on PL and what hotels come up in Orlando. You may want to hang out around the airport that evening, especially if you are not renting a car.

Thanks for the quick reply...anyone else? Keep those ideas coming :teeth:

We stayed at the Embassy Suites at the airport last year on Hilton Honors points, so that was really a nice freebie. This is a very nice place and had a fantastic free breakfast. The room was great and beds very comfy. Now, as far as "inexpensive" (yes that's a euphemism for cheap!) goes, it may not work. But I have read on these boards of people getting it from Priceline for around $60 a night. This room sleeps 6.

Good luck with your search. :wave2:

I've heard of people getting great deals in the past, and you wouldn't have to drive very far to check into your WDW resort the next day! Plus, there may still be things going on at DTD if you needed to grab a snack or just wanted to get out to start the excitement!

Another option is Hotwire. You can use the amenities list on Hotwire to determine if it is a particular hotel. Check out www.betterbidding.com for lists of Hotwire hotels and their amenities.

You'll pay more on Hotwire for a hotel than on Priceline (many of them the same), but you'll be a little more sure of what you'll get.

Good luck!

We're going to stay here...unless we find a better deal :teeth: There are always better deals to be had, but how much time/effort should you invest just to save $5-10?!?!

They're having a $59/night deal with upgrade to deluxe room (whatever that is)...thanks for all the help!

My first choice would be for a hotel by the airport. My second choice would be for a hotel near Disney (DTD for example).

The hotel you chose is near Universal, at least a half hour drive from the airport and at least a half hour drive from the hotel to Disney the next day.

A suggestion

Decided to take your [Lewisc] advice and stay near the airport...then I followed your [robinb] advice and used www.betterbidding.com (which is an awesome site by the way!) and Hotwire. Ended up with the Marriott Orlando Airport for $60 (tax included) which I know, since I'm a Marriott Rewards member who stays at their hotels 50-75 nights a year on business, is a GREAT rate! Thanks again for all the help...now you all need to tell me how to get lower rates at the Disney resorts :teeth:
