Has anyone found any good rates yet for late April/early May 2010? If so, can you post the company and any codes you used?

So far, I have 2 reservations: (4/29/10 - 5/7/10 -- 1 week, 1 day)

Dollar: Corporate code Oi1054 - Intermediate - $312 w/taxes

Alamo: Costco Code: 7014627 - Intermediate - $326 w/taxes

I'm hoping to get a full size car, mid size SUV or mini van for about $300. But right now, there are not many codes going beyond 2009 and I have not found any coupons yet.

I may even try priceline this year!!

The only codes I found for 2010 were in the 2010 Entertainment Book. Actually they have some really good codes, $30-40 off and free weekend day.

I just rechecked Alamo using either Walmart (430710) or Costco's Code and my intermediate rental is down to $250 including taxes. Full size is pricing out almost $100 more.

Dollar using Corporate code Oi1054 Lock 'n Go (guarantees mid size or larger) is about the same with taxes.

Subscribing.

Right now I have $248 for a compact. Alamo walmart code. I used priceline last year, got Budget and waited in a huge line forever. This year, I will pay the extra bucks to avoid the line and I willing to suck it up and get a small car if that is what it takes.

Dates - 4/24-5/3 - 9 days.

I traveled the last week of April this year and found my best deal about 2 weeks away from my trip. I ended up with a mid-size from Alamo on priceline for $14/day.

Check your Alamo rates. Mine went down a little.

I am at $229 for a compact for 9 days. 4/24-5/3. I used the walmart code only. There are no coupons yet, that I know of at least.

From mousesavers.....

Use Corporate Discount code oi1054 for a special discount from Dollar. Good in Florida only. Source: Orlando Magicard. I would recommend taking your Magicard with you when you pick up the car. Click here to download a FREE Orlando Magicard instantly online. Thanks to Wanda for info.

I realize I get dinged for a shorter rental, but sheesh!! I'm at $287 for a midsize with Alamo with Walmart code for 4.5 days!! Ouch!! That's gotta get better!!

Thanks for the tip...there was no link to Orlando Magic Card, but I googled it..thanks again...don't want to use a code we are not entitled to.... This gave me the best rate BY FAR! All other codes/companies were about $700...this came in at $350 - not great, but much much better. We are going 3/29-4/6 if that helps.

Subscribing as well.

I have the entertainment book and so far for a full size I have been able to get around 300.00 with taxes at Alamo with the free day coupon. This is for 7 days and 2 hours.

Check your Alamo rates. Mine went down a little.

I am at $206 for a compact, 9 days. 4/24-5/3. No coupons that I know of yet. I used the Walmart code.

Picking up at TPA (non-WDW vacation this time), renting from Dollar using the Magicard discount, minivan for a total of $360.75 for a week, after all taxes.

Glad I checked here tonight:thumbsup2 I just booked a midsized with Alamo for 10 days 5/9 to 5/19 for $258 for everything using the Walmart code. THANK YOU!!!:) Went down from $309, more money for me to spend:lmao:

We have a full-size with Alamo using the Entertainment Book code and free day coupon for 8 days (4/18-4/26) and we have $317.17 with all taxes/fees. High, but I'm sure it'll come down in March or so...or at least I hope! :thumbsup2

I just booked Alamo for 10 days late May for 260ish using the Entertainment coupon. Came across this thread and checked out Costco's rate and saved 20 something. Thanks, I never thought about Costco.

Total is $186.77 with $20.00 off coupon AD8Z59SDZ from Costco. You can print it by going through Costco website under travel and then Alamo. They never ask for Costco membership so no worries. Same rate as Walmart code except you can use coupon.

Do you think there is any chance they will ask for the membership card? And what would happen if they asked and I said I didnt bring it with me? Costco has a coupon for Budget that gives you $25 off a weekly rental as well as a free upgrade (on top of the already discounted rate). This gives me a full size (+ upgrade) for 4/20 - 4/27 for $297 after taxes, fees, and coupon. Plus we like Budget because the spouse can drive for no extra fees.

I think there is a promotion out there if you join Costco. I think membership is around $50 but they give you $50 in various coupons. But I would hate to join for nothing.

I'm not familiar with Budget's check in procedures since I normally rent from Alamo or National and just check myself in at one of the Kiosk rather than waiting in line so I never even talk to an agent.
