Late ADR for Tusker House breakfast question

We have a 10:15 ADR for Tusker House breakfast on 2/20 (Presidents Day weekend), that we're looking at as "brunch". I have heard TH tends to run behind and this may not be an optimal time for the breakfast buffet - that by the time we are seated, the food may be "old", turnover for lunch could be underway and the characters may or may not be available.
For those that have recently done a later breakfast time, how has it been?
TIA :)

We had a 10:20 at the end of September. They were about 10-15 min late seating us, but the food was still hot and they were still refreshing the buffet. I've also heard that sometimes you can stretch your stay a little longer and they start putting out the lunch food, but that wasn't the case while were there.

I thought the characters were a bit rushed, but we did see all of them. There was even a man who came table to table and asked if we had met all of the characters. We told him that we hadn't seen Daisy yet and he sent her right over.

I thought this was a great time for brunch. We got to ride Everest first thing and then had breakfast and everyone stayed pretty full until late afternoon/dinnertime.

Have a jungle juice for me!

We were just there on Friday. We had a 10:10 ADR and were only seated about an hour later. By the time the characters came and we were almost done eating, they were clearing the food away. I sent my Husband up for ham and he came back and said the food is all gone.

I was pretty upset since we waited an hour after our ADRs so I mentioned it to the server and she went in the back and brought him some ham and gave us a fast past for our troubles.

We had a 10:10 reservation in mid-Sept. We showed up early in the hope to be seated earlier, but they wouldn't even take our name until 15 minutes before our ADR time.

Once we were within our timeframe, they took our name and we were called back for the photo with Donald. There was a long line for the photo and we opted to skip the photo and be seated right away. We already saw Donald elsewhere, and my kids are older and skipping was fine with them.

By the time we got to the table, it was probably around 10:15--10:20. All of the food was plentiful, hot, and fresh. The characters made the rounds and it was a good breakfast. We were out of there before the change-over to lunch. We didn't feel rushed.

We had a late ADR last February - I want to say it was 10:20. We were called about 20 minutes late so about 10:40. The food was definitely warm and very good.

This was our favorite character meal of the trip (we did 5). Since it was a later ADR, the restaurant started emptying out. We had Goofy pretty much to ourselves when he came around and it was some great character interaction. He circled some things on our map that we should do. EE, the safari, the jungle trek.

Also the characters led the kinds in a big parade around the room. It was loud but the kids had fun.

We will definitely be going back and I would have been happy with another late ADR but 8:00 worked better for the rest of the group.

We had a 10:20 ADR at TH in late August. We checked in a few minutes before our ADR time and I think we had to wait around 15 minutes to see Donald then be seated. I was worried that we might miss some characters and I was assured that the characters do not leave until everybody with a breakfast ADR has been seen. We did get to see them all without any problems.

I noticed that as the breakfast crowd was emptying, they didn't begin seating people for lunch right away. The place was packed when we were seated but was pretty empty when we left. We did have fresh food the whole time we were there and they kept replenishing and refreshing the breakfast food right up until they started switching over from breakfast to lunch foods near the end of our meal, just before they started seating new guests. I went to look around at the lunch foods and I know I could have easily partaken of the lunch offerings but I felt kind of weird digging into the beautiful untouched dishes (totally something in my own head; it would have been perfectly fine with the staff).

We love having late ADRs at Tusker House. Allows us to have the earliest part of the morning for the parks, have a late breakfast - which holds us over through lunch, and the place seems to clear out pretty quickly. As for the characters being rushed - they are always rushed no matter what time you eat there. It's just the way that place seems to operate. We still go back every time, though. It's our favorite breakfast.

no trouble at all. Fresh, abundant food, multiple visits with characters, very little wait and cupcakes for my twins' bday. 10:30 reservation.

Thank you everyone! You've convinced me to keep it and I can't wait to get there! :goodvibes

What you have heard is consistent with my experiences. This breakfast is very popular and even if your ADR is early, then within 15 minutes of opening, it is loud and crowded for sure. I love the food and have had a late breakfast ADR for the past two September trips. I was hoping to be seated ahead of our 10:20am ADR, but was told at 9:35 not to check in until 10am. Just had to make sure my portion sizes were small so I would be hungry for my 2:45pm ADR @ Yak&Yeti. It worked out fine. Service was great, food was great, characters were awesome.

Early Lunch ADR folks get pushed back. It's a shame that they don't cut back on the number of ADRs for Breakfast, but it is GREAT once it starts to empty out.
