I am considering an 830pm ADR at San Angel Inn when Epcot closes at 9 and have a couple questions.

It’s just for 2 people. How hard is it to get a table by the river? Also, is anyone riding the boat ride that late (assume most are outside for Illuminations)? Is the atmosphere not as good late?

Anyone been inside there after Epcot closed? I assume we won’t be finished till a while after Epcot closes.

The latest Ive had a reservation there was 7:45. Its 50/50 whether or not they are on time. Out last trip, March 2017, there was a 40 minute wait.

I have never been sat by the river, though Ive never asked. Im happy to get a table. Maybe by 8:30, the 6pm - 7pm crowd is gone and you can ask. You'll have a better chance of someone just finishing, and a small wait, that late in the night.

Yes, the ride goes until Epcot closes. The boats go with our without passengers. The atmosphere is the same during lunch and dinner. Loud and dark! But the food is my favorite of all restaurants at WDW. Ive never been in any park after closing. Remember, although the attractions and shops close at 9, Illuminations is starting, ending around 9:20. Its then a mad house to get out, especially if youre watching from America or Japan! Im sure the last of the guests will still be walking towards the front exit around 10, and you should be finishing by then too.

You won't have any problem getting out after the park closes. we've done it several times. People are still heading to the exits at 10 and later.
