I despately want to go to Ohana on our trip in June and the only thing I could get was a 9:30pm ADR (on a Friday night). We are going to have our DD15 and her friend who is 16 with us. Is this too late to eat at Ohana? I know sleepy kids will not be a problem, but just wonder if we will be the last ones in there??? :confused3 I am thinking late breakfast and lunch and maybe a snack to two to tide us over until then. Has anyone had an ADR this late?

Take what you can get! Dh and I had 9:30 ADRs at Ohana last Aug and it was just fine. The food was great as always and during the fireworks the dim the lights and play the music. Enjoy!

I say it is too late. I couldnt see getting a good nights sleep on such a full stomach with the amount of food you get. I say to keep trying online throughout the day many times for cancellations, you will come across them if you keep trying, i know i did a few times with Ohana especially around the 45 day mark and up until the week before our arrival.

If you don't mind eating at that hour, I would certainly say take it. I would however continue to try to get an earlier time if that's what you want.

We had an 8:50 ADR on our December trip and ended up having horrible transportation luck and got there at almost 10. The food was good, the wait staff was great. By the time we were done eating there were only a handful of other tables occupied but no one was in a hurry to push us out the door. Check what time Wishes is going on the night you are eating at Ohana, you might be able to catch it on the beach before you go in for your ADR or it could go on just after you are seated. I also second that you keep checking for a different time. We are at less than 2 weeks to go and I just (5 minutes ago) booked us another Ohana dinner.

Thanks guys~

I have to say that I was hesitant to book at such a late hour, but I am not one that goes to be early (with teenagers that rarely happens )!!

We will have our own car and will be staying at the BC, so we could drive over so that is not a big issue. We will be driving over for our Kona breakfast as well (7:45 ADR).

I will keep checking for something earlier, I was just concerned we would be rushed through eating that late. :rolleyes1

Last year we had an ADR at Ohana for right around the same time as you. I LOVED it at that hour! There wasn't any of the silly races and the fireworks went on at 10, it was wonderful. I think its a great time as long as you don't mind eating late. We also had plenty of time with the transportation. We were at DHS on Aug. 20th from around 3-5pm then hopped over to the MK for a bit before taking the monorail over to the Poly. It was all in all a perfect arrival day :goodvibes

I can see how you could have transportation trouble that late at night in December because everything shuts down early but during summer hours it's not unusual for MK to be open until midnight or later. A quick ride to the MK by monorail then a bus to their resort - which I guess depends on where they are staying:).

Having been seated around 9:30 on a previous trip, I'd definitely try to go that late again if I could. (Greatest reason being the children's entertainment stops at 9:30). They will not kick you out the door.

Actually, it had nothing to do with MK closing time. We got to the monorail just as they were switching monorails. They told us the boat would be faster. So we headed to the boat, which may have been faster except we got caught up in the electric water pageant, during which time we were not allowed to move. By the time we finally got to Poly, we were already very late and then Wishes started as we were headed up the path so DD wanted to watch that. We had difficulty getting where we were supposed to be with the stroller for some reason and thus were at least an hour late. We got some pixie dust though and still got seated and except for the fact that my toddler fell asleep, I had to hold her and my mom had to cut my food, it was a great meal :goodvibes.
