Love Disney and love This resort. My Grandson first trip and we had the grand villa. Nothing like seeing the smile on him going on all rides and all parks. Wasn't scared on anything. Now for the downside. the resort is in need of a refurb so bad. Beds were uncomfortable TV's were outdated and the water pressure throughout the villa was so slow. But the worst thing of them all was issued at front desk. We had to go down 3 times to tell them that all charges are coming out of 1 account. i wish i could pay for everyone but the fact is technology which i work in for the past 20yrs needs to be fixed. Maybe i should go work there. i mean how hard is it to set 1 card number to 1 band not reservation. LOVE WDW

OKW had a full refurb in 2017-2019. It will not be due for another refurb until 2024-2026 at the earliest. As a timeshare, like all other DVC resorts, it gets heavier use than hotel rooms. But since owners are on the hook for any improvements to the rooms the refurb schedule is set at about every 7 years. Believe me, there are other DVC resorts which need a refurb before OKW sees another one (BRV springs to mind).

I know my question is a bit random for this particular thread, but OP, do you remember what kind of coffee maker you had in your Grand Villa? Was it a regular coffee maker that makes a full pot? Or was it a k cup style machine? Sorry, I know it's random, but planning ahead for the type of coffee I need to bring for a trip in August. Thanks for your help!

BRV is scheduled this year!

BRV is scheduled this year!
That’s what they said last year and the year before 😖 - and since they haven’t even started and it’s supposed to be a full refurb (not just soft goods IIRC) and I just don’t see DVC holding back rooms over the holidays- I fear it may end up being 2033 before they really start…

The only DVC rooms (I am aware of) that have Keurigs and not full coffee pots are the Tower Studios at RIV and the Resort Studios at VGF. This likely has to do w/the lack of a full kitchenette or kitchen in those rooms (i.e. no sink other than the bathroom).

Our GV at BWV had both a Keurig and a regular coffee maker.
