Hello there disboards,
I haven't been on these boards for awhile now. But glad to be

back, and planning another Walt Disney Vacation for next year.

Now for the question.. Last year we stayed at Port Orleans Riverside, and were very pleased with it.... Unfortunately the couple that will be going with us the summer of 2004 can't afford to stay there..So... How unheard of is 2 couples without children going thinking of staying at the all stars? Is there alot of noise? I know these are mainly for the children, (my husband is a big kid himself) but, I like to have a little peace and quiet when going to bed..... They seem to be very reasonably priced, and I like the theme of them...any suggestions as which one to stay at?

We thought of getting one room with double beds at Port Orleans and everyone staying there, but they are celebrating their 10 year anniversary, and have requested seperate rooms...go figure....

You guys are so knowledgable about every thing, so I came here first!

Thanks,
Anny

We (DH and I) stayed at All Star Movies and we really loved it. We didn't have any problems with too much noise - maybe we were lucky or maybe it is really not too noisy most of the time.

If you are really worried about kids then stay at Music. My understanding is that Music usually has the fewest number of kids and the most adult-only parties.

Have you considered renting points and staying at a DVC resort? Otherwise, Music would be the best choice for what you have brought up.

Here's some advice .. request a QUIET location and third floor. We stayed last year with friends that insisted on staying offsite :earseek: to save money. They loved it ,they still talk about their vacation. We stayed at Rock Inn in Asmu, but, I really like the Mighty Ducks at Asmo.It has it's own pool ,which is fairly quiet.Ok, this is no deluxe ,but, if I have to stay there those are my choices ;) .Hope this helps!!

I would not hesitate to stay at an All Star hotel with just adults. My DH and I did it at Music and stayed in the Calypso building. We also have stayed at movies, and I'd do that again. I wouldn't feel out of place at all.

Thanks guys!!!!!

I think we have narrowed it down to either the Music or the Movies, we like both of them.

Do they offer discounts on the values? I know that seems far fetched, but hey, you don't know if you don't ask.

I know next summer is so far off, but we are really excited "planning and talking about this trip!

We have never thought about renting points, and to be honest I wouldn't know how to go about doing that. I guess i"ll keep reading these posts and learning from all you guys..

Anymore ideas?

Thanks again!
Anny
