Last Year, did you have to rebook to have Free Dining Added to your Ressies?

I was just wondering, Last Year when free Dining came out, if you already had ressies, did you have to cancel that ressie and rebook or did you have the free dining code added to your currant ressies?

I don't think you always know what CRO is doing. I know that in the past I have been "rebooked" because I changed hotels but did NOT get a new reserevation number so.......If they just "swap" you around you may not know....

My DIL had 3 rooms booked at Pop and had to switch to A/S Music as there was no availability at Pop (no the code could not be applied to her current reservation packages). Eventually she kept looking after changing that reservation and finally there was an openning at Pop near the end of the promotion and she switched.

I had booked a room at Pop in hopes of free dining in late August. It wasn't offered for my timeframe, so I cancelled the reservation and did not rebook.

We waited until the "Free Dining offer" was officially offered (we got advanced
notice from Disney Visa--Via Email on April 9th). I booked that same day.
So no changing anything which made it very easy.

We had booked originally using the AAA discount, no dining plan. When I added the free dining, the AAA rate wasn't applicable so ended up with a new ressie. But it was pretty seamless.

If you need not have to rebook, Did you already have the dining plan on your ressies?

Hi,

I had an existing ressie, and I called the morning of the first day free dining came out to the general public. I did not have to change anything, the code was simply applied to my ressie (which DID include dining plan) and the amount was subtracted from the total I owed. Easy!
Keeping fingers crossed that it will be that easy this year..I have a ressie booked at POFQ for Sept 20-27th!!!
